Hi,
May Day is signified for being know for, "A call for Help", a "Month of Hero's" a best friends birthday and so much more. April showers "May Flowers"
I just find out of the day "May 1" and how America made that day very important to the rest of the world.
Between 1896 and 1899 there was a large labor movement in the US. In those days many workers were living in homes owned by the factory they work for and when the loose their job they also loose their home.
These people got organized and in 1899 the law changed and gave them more protection. And on May 1, 1899 they celebrated that day as Labor Day. The funny thing is, that today nearly the whole world use May 1 to celebrate Labor Day except the US.
Yesterday I was watching the Belgium TV where the above story was told.
