 Your Favorite Ride?

Realtors spend a lot of time in their cars. (Maybe some of us chose to be realtors so that we COULD do that!)

I have to admit that my relationship with my car is perhaps considered unhealthy by some. I believe that hand washing, hand drying,  and hand waxing your baby is highest form of auto-love. I also love hitting the highway in my (just washed) baby with one of my favorite songs on the CD player. To me, this is about equal to a really great shower.

My friends think I'm nuts - "that's what the carwash is for!"

So here's the question: What side are you on and what's your favorite ride (meaning "thing to ride in")?

You're not nuts - just passionate!  My dream ride is Burgundy Bentley.  However, I do not quite own it as of yet.  A work in progress.  Enjoy the ride.

If you really want to enjoy your driving experience then buy a motorcycle. Mine is a Harley Davidson Touring rig, but the brand really does not matter. I have only been in the business about 2 years. I am just completing the epro course. One of the reasons I choose real estate as my next endevor was to get more miles in the saddle

My favorite ride is a 1964 Malibu Super-Sport- black and sparkling- mag wheels, hurst shifter, bucket seats and the oldies on the radio.. no CD players or tape decks in these puppies... LOL.. There is nothing like cruising down the road in that baby and the smells of an old car are like heaven... . As for Rdutton and his Harley- am sorry to tell you if you got in to RE to have more time in the saddle you'ld probably be better off punching a time clock. At least you would be getting a steady pay check... There isn't any more time available selling real estate than there is working for the man... unless of course you are only going to work part time...

My favorite ride happens to be a little BMW (big enough for clients), taking off over a mountain road (one of many in my area of Lake Tahoe/Truckee)with the sun roof down, ipod connected with 5000 songs ready, serius hookup just in case, lovin life on my way to an appointment. Unfortunately, that little ride sits in the garage until the snow settles down a bit and I'm forced to suffer through a pathfinder with studded snow tires! You're right, I agree, where is the extra time?

My car of choice is the Lexus 300GS. It drives like a dream. Just sit back relax it drives itself. The best ride you can have.

My favorite ride?

Well, as of last October is it this:

http://www.dragsim.com/uploads/U393-1193026980.jpg

1/2 track (660 feet) squirts came in at 4.83 seconds @ 151 mph :-)

(this coming Spring I get to complete my licensing passes in that car and
run the whole 1/4 mile, roughly 6.90 seconds @ a little over 200 mph)

My current everyday vehicle though is a 2008 Dodge 3500 dual rear wheel
pick-up truck.........

Well Kember, you may have stirred up alot of enthusiasts out there and this is good. When it comes to previewing property, especially in the golden land of the California foothills, I recommend washing and waxing that Harley Davidson as rdutton has already mentioned. Down in Tuscon I am almost certain the weather condones riding versus driving anyway. Make sure that bike has nice leather bags or other means of storage(to hold your files and camera, of course). With gas approaching the mid-three dollar range, why not enjoy saving some cash and look great doing it. Alot of motorbikes are factory equipped with CD, radio, intercom, and other distractions so why not enjoy the great outdoors and create a special niche. To Kember and all guests,  great topic and inputs from all.

Al, you’re a drag king? Wow, that’s very cool. So your ride’s name is Bits and Pieces? In 1965 I managed a rock group of the same name.
