Has anyone had experience trading a smaller house for a larger house?

Let's say the larger house is selling for $450,000 and has a $350,000
mortgage. If someone wants to buy the larger home, and trade in a smaller
home worth $250,000 with a mortgage of $150,000, how would this be
structured? Can it be structured?
