It was a live link, so I clicked on it and there is a full page of ownership rights as stated by the web site producer, that the web master owns "everything" and all rights for the site and the forms, etc. Where does this leave the agent and his rights?

A really off the wall question would be - as a result of having made contact with the Realtor through his (not) web site, does the web master (site owner) have any ownership to the buyers and sellers (think = referrals
back to the agent or to others??? using a loop system of capture) - seeing as how the web master seems to be licensed possibly.

and then at the bottom of the "full disclosure" page - as to ownership rights, etc... the Re/max office itself is shown as apparent point of contact at the bottom of the page. I've seen this on many agent sites = and
always wondered why.

I just saw this copyright and patent pending at the bottom of a site advertising 1% commissions... He works for Re/max and he states that he thinks the Re/max agents who are his immediate colleagues charge too = much
commission, and he goes about explaining why the public should do = business
with him.

But, the question is - who is copyrighting what? and what does Patent Pending mean in this case? Can you "patent pending" a web site?
