Vera, please let me know what you learn, I'm in the same boat, have the same concerns, etc.. The thing is, if you're truly a professional/full time agent, you should probably treat your home like you would any other client - i.e. like it's the most important property you list. The thing is, when it's your own, you experience greater anxiety than when it's someone elses, which is why you're probably asking this question in the first place. It's much like why your clients are selecting you - they need it done right!!! So, if nothing else, you're now in better tune with your clients and that can be a very good thing. Here lies an opportunity for you to grow as a professional. Knowing that 80% of all listings are due to being listed on the MLS, you're probably off to a great start - i.e. 80% there. However, its the other 20 percent that will differentiate you from the rest. Use your home to be a better marketer and not only will you inevitably sell it, but you'll also improve your offering to your clients. Have confidence in your abilities or how can you expect your clients to have confidence in you. Use the e-Pro suggestions throughout the course, they're very, very good!!! Finally, if all else seems bleak, there's always St. Joseph...I know, I know, it sounds superstitious, but it seems to have a very, very good track record. Best of luck!!!!!
