For reasons not relevant to this thread I have been avoiding pledging money to my local NPR station, WBEZ Chicago, for the past couple years. However, during today's pledge drive I just couldn't resist. The pitch was that for ANY donation (even my paltry $10) today, you could receive a CD of Ira Glass' brilliantly sardonic and informative "take" on the mortgage meltdown. One of the best "layman's terms" explanation of what went wrong and why. Has anybody else heard this piece, which originally ran on "This American Life" a few weeks ago?
