I have Sprint Service. What is the best moblie phone for Real Estate Agents?  Treo or Black Berry Curve?  After I finish my e-PRO I want to be current with information, such as emails etc.

I have had two treos and am not happy with them. I find the Treo to be finicky. Bluetooth goes on and off by itself. I sometimes have to remove the battery because it just gets stuck. Next time I upgrade phones, I am switching to the Blackberry.

Good luck,

I had a Treo for over a year and went through hell with it. I had continuous problems and had to have it replaced over 3 times! Since I am with Verizon and I had so many technical problems, they replaced it for me (one year later) with a Blackberry 8830. I love the Blackberry and have had it for over 6 months. I got the 8830 and it is great and can be used internationally. My husband has the curve and likes it, but the 8830 has better email capabilities and a lot of executives seem to have it. Either way, Blackberry seems the way to go. Have you seen Dolly Lenz  from Prudential in the Blackberry ad?

Let me say this, I couldn't function these past two years as an active, busy agent with a toddler without my smartphone. Any top agent has got to have it!

I switched from a Treo to a Blackberry and have never regretted it.  Just upgraded to the Blackberry Curve and love it.  I heard the IPhone is also good.

I am just about to complete my E-Pro class and purchased the BlackBerry Curve which was suggest by our IT specialist through RE/MAX as being very compatible with Top Producer and our RE/MAX lead generation program. I have had it for a few weeks now and love it. It is very easy to navigate, dock etc. It's great because I can receive and accept and process  a lead on the fly. I only wish I would have purchased it months ago when our lead generation started and could have saved a lot of time and not had to run back to the office or call my assistant to process the lead.

 Hello everybody,

I have an iPhone and I highly recommend it because in addition to having a great calendar and address book, I also:

1. get unlimited internet and text messages
2. emails which I can open and view Word Docs, Excel Spreadsheets, PDF files
3. save money on GPS because Google Maps works great -- it even tells me about traffic
4. view my MLS website Realtracs will all the bells and whistles -- (not just use the mobile or WAP site)
5. take pictures download them to my PC
6. downloaded an iPhone app which allowed me to record a voice memo to myself -- so I don't need to buy or carry around a dictaphone
7.  sync perfectly with my computer -- I have a Mac -- never loose a contact again.

Best,
Tina

I've owned the Treo 600 and 650 through Verizon. My husband had a company-issued AT&T 650. We both found the OS to be great and easy to use, but the phones would frequently lock up and require resetting. It was very aggravating when it would seize up during a call.

I changed carriers and now own a Blackberry Curve through At&T. I love it. I didn't think I would be able to get past losing the "touch screen", but the track ball is very easy to use and my phone rarely calls people accidentally. I only wish it had a video camera, but I recently overcame that problem by purchasing a Flip Video Camera!

My husband now owns an iphone and is obsessed with it - he's trying to convince me to get one. It's larger and heavier than my Curve, and there are no buttons - something I really like on a smartphone.

Most of my colleagues own Balckberrys or iphones. The ones still using Treos are having to put up with them locking up or having other tecnical difficulties.

I just switch from Sprint to Verizon Centro, just learning how it works. I love the package and the internet capabilities and compatibility with Outlook and TopProducer. One problem I am having is with the volume-sometimes it is very difficult to hear the speaker on calls.

Did anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution other than changing phones?

I use a Treo with Verizon service. I'm on my fifth phone in almost four years.

I've talked to Verizon represenatives and the Blackberry Curve was suggested. I haven't checked with my MLS for compatibility nor do I fully understand how they will work with Lockboxes.

Check on the internet for the latest models. Your carrier may not inform you if a newer model will be coming out in the near future. They may be instructed to clear their inventories.

Sheryl

I know a lot of people who have had nothing but problems with the Treos . I like you have a Blackberry Curve through AT&T and love it also. I continue to see quite a few  Realtors going to  the Iphone  and like your husband they are obsessed with it.  Would love one but I will wait on this for now until its time for renewal. Thanks for the information.

TREO are funny, they do seem to wrk when they feellike it and the battery does drain when it comes collecting emails.  But what do you do for the ekey part of it.  Does the blackberry work with the ekey
