Has anyone seen/used the new Macbook Air?!  That thing is THIN!  I'm in the market for a new laptop, I am pretty sure it will end up being a PC as I don't a) have a million dollars and b) I am just used to PC's, and far more comfortable using one...

Anyway, I was just curious to see if anyone has had their hands on one of these yet ;) if so, what did you think?

I'm a big MAC fan although I do use a PC for work. I've had my current macbook for about 4 years now and have not had a single problem with it. When I had a PC I was always getting viruses, it would crash, etc. So I'm now a loyal apple fan. The Air looks amazing, and it's on my wishlist for sure (and I'm hoping the price goes down a bit too!) I saw it again on Good Morning America this week, and it truly is as thin as it looks for the Apple website. One downside though, there's no CD drive. Not sure if this matters to you, depending on how you use your laptop, but there are two options - there's an exterior drive that you can buy that plugs into your USB drive (they say it's just a tad bigger than a cd case) OR apparently it has wireless capabilities, so if there's another laptop nearby it can pickup what's on that CD drive. (Not sure of all the details - but from my research...). Anyway, not sure if that helps, but I'm not a very techie person, and this just looks too cool and will beat the usual backache you get when you have to lug your laptop somewhere. There are so many good things about it that come as soon as you open the box!

Good luck with your laptop hunt - I'd go with mac!

I definitely agree that the macbook air is very sleek and stylish. However, I have my concerns about the performace. I mean seriously, how much power can they pack into a machine that's only 1" thick? I'll have to wait for some benchmarks to come out before I jump on the air ship. Also, the lack of internal media drive (like Kayla mentioned) does drastically detract from the overall "awesomeness" of the product.

I am suprised that Apple has not come out with a tablet yet. Maybe there'll be a macbook air - tablet pc in the future.

I have a MacAir which I use all the time. The size is like carrying a portfolio and it is very easy for airplane travel, as well. As far as being functional, I find it does everything I want except that you need a separate CD, DVD reader because of its thin size.

I love MAC.  I have an IMac and an IPhone.  Both of which I absolutely can live without.  There is a down side though.  I still have to run windows.  It seems that our MLS and TopProducer has to run through Internet explorer.  The solution is sort of simple in that Parallels allows you to run both Mac OS and Windows OS.  You can run both simultaneously.  I haven't run into any problems thus far.  As far as the IPhone, it syncs well with outlook but is not compatible with TopProducer.
