There has been a lot of back and forth recently regarding the use of Blogs; how they work and how to put them to work for you. What are the keys to success? Legitimate questions on items such as: How to get your blog found and indexed? How to keep your Blog fresh? Will it work with your website? How do you provide access to your listings?

Here is my story.

I began sputtering with blogs in 2006. It was not an instant success situation for me. However, I was sure that if I kept working at it, trying to get it right and be consistent, things would come together, just as mailing postcards out over time usually works. I was right!

After about a year of blogging, usually adding new fresh content daily (though I'll tell you that more is better - twice a day is probably ideal), I began to get leads. By 18 months, I had several appointments and soon after I began working with clients to buy and sell homes. This year I've closed just shy of $4 million in volume from clients who found me through my RealTown Blog. The Live in Los Gatos will be marking its two-year anniversary next month.

A lot of credit needs to go to the good people running RealTown. This medium has been expanding at an incredible rate, and not only is RealTown keeping up, it's leading the way.

RealTown Bloggers can customize their sites, but are also part of a greater community. That is a plus in terms of relationships and knowledge, but also for web traffic and the all popular "Google Juice". Technically, they have worked at every turn to improve the platform. Personally, they are fantastic about addressing issues, concerns, and ideas. They provide quality customer service and an incredible knowledge base to draw from.

What is amazing is that all of RealTown.com is available to us at no cost and with great support. I don't think there's a better deal anywhere in the blogosphere!

Go and check out the RealTown blogging system and stop by my Live in Los Gatos blog and say hi.
