I DID CHECK THIS OUT ON SNOPES, AND IT IS A REAL THREAT.

COMPUTER VIRUS WARNING -

The newest virus circulating is the 'UPS Delivery Failure'. You will
receive an email from UPS Packet Service along with a packet number.
It will say that they were un-able to deliver a package sent to you on

such and such a date. It then asks you to print out the invoice copy

attached. DON'T TRY TO PRINT THIS.

IT LAUNCHES THE VIRUS!

Pass this warning on to all your PC operators at work and home.

This virus has caused Millions of dollars in damage in the past few days.

Check out more info here:

Thank you for the warning.

Isn't it terrible that there are so many  people who send out these destructive "bugs". My computer was fried twice when I inadvertently downloaded a virus with software. It makes me think twice before doing anything.

Thanks again, and No USP for me.

Jeanette,

My brother in law is in internet security at Honeywell, previously Mayo Clinic, previously State Farm Insurance Corporate and he has taught me well.. just ask him..LOL..

I will never ever open anything that I am not absolutely sure of.  No e-cards, no bank warnings, no paypal notices, no attachments of Any kind.  He has me on Thunderbird for email and Firefox as an explorer.  I am dying without Outlook, but I also know it is easy to hack so I make do with other options.  I have to us IE for some stuff but Firefox is becoming much more adaptable to all the web sites I visit so I am happier.

My laptop is my life.. I opened up an exe. e-card a couple years ago and it totally trashed my computer and the e-card had come from somebody I knew...  I would rather be considered rude for not responding than to loose my life blood in my puter.  !!!   Don't open ANYTHING that looks at all suspicous and if you are tempted, run it through your "cr-p" detector one more time just to be sure..:))   My brother in law has also taught me to be careful how and who I respond to.  Don't hit reply..don't  click on any links... nothng.. They can tract us by just hitting one of their links or responding in any way.    I have learned its best to just delete...

Gloria

I also had an experience with an e-card which contained a virus, which infected my computer. It was a postcard from Hallmark, or I thought it was. It was a very costly mistake to open this item.

Safe computer rules:

Never, ever, ever open up ecards of any sort...just too many evil things lurking in them.

Never, ever, ever open up a file with .exe in it...again this program/file could really wreck your 'puter.

Never, ever, ever open up attachments, without a) scanning for a virus and b) confirming by phone (if necessary) that the person whose name is in the from box, really sent it to you.

If it was important...and you didn't/don't respond, the other party will contact you.

Do they teach "safe" computing in school?
