Is he claiming this for any particular search term? Or more than one search term? or only specific search terms/key phrases? Are they relevant? Has he shown you the stats as to what people are REALLY searching for in your market ? I would be very suspect. Does he give you a plan how he proposes such a thing? My guess is you can do this yourself.. unless you're trying to rank #1 for Los Angeles Real Estate. But where are you? Do you know what the top home search terms are in your area? Do you work any niche market? Do you blog? Do you keep your content fresh? I am no SEO expert, but I am very very suspect at these claims as much of this stuff you can do yourself with the right design of your site and fresh content. Write articles. Link back to your page. Answer questions on Trulia. Post your listings everywhere, link back to your site.

I am number 1 on google on several terms that are relevant for me. I do not , and have never spent 7500.00 just to achieve that one goal.

Oh, by the way... what page is he on? Does his company rank #1 anywhere? And under what terms? Ask him (or her, for some reason I'm assuming Noel is a he , sorry if he's a she :) :)

Look at www.webstarget.com Randy Eager is a CRS. He knows our business and he does SEO specifically for Real Estate Agents. You will find the price less expensive.

Anyone that claims they can get you a #1 position should be able to prove they can do it. Ask for 20, 30, or more where they've got someone #1 placement for a POPULAR REAL ESTATE SEARCH TERM. For $7500, I certainly wouldn't take fewer than 20 pieces of proof.

I personally would not even consider someone that said they can guarantee a #1 position. If they instead said, "we've worked our SEO magic with 40 real estate websites and this is what we achieved so far", I would listen to them and then verify what they said myself by looking up their customer sites in Google.

Also, what search engine do they claim the #1 position in? The search terms I have #1 positions for in Google, Yahoo, and MSN, 75%+ of the click throughs come from Google.

I 2nd what Keith said. Never believe that anyone can guarantee 1st position on a search engine. I got so frustrated with these claims and had such great success at SEO with my own sites that I decided to get into the business of offering affordable SEO services and have had great success at getting to first page of both google and yahoo. Check my site for more info http://www.SEOSlug.com and you will see a few sites that we have gotten to 1st page and we are less than half the price of Noel.

Sounds like a lot of money for one placement; I am trying to find a SEO company that does not charge that type of fee in advance, but, rather, charges minimal upfront fees and then charges based on their success. Does anyone know of such a company? Terri White Broker/Owner Las Vegas Properties
