 Facebook success story

In a recent posting, Andrew Himes noted a listing obtained as a direct result of his participation in the social media site Facebook.

I contacted Andrew and found out that the transaction closed and he has several more in the pipeline through Facebook contacts.

Does anyone else have a success story from their participation in social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, YouTube, LinkedIn, SecondLife, etc....

Thanks

John

None that I could see. I think they are just building a data base to
later sell.....or maybe its a dating service?????"

Well I am sorry but I have to whole heartedly disagree! I started my
facebook page a very short time ago and a friend I had lost touch with
over the last couple of years just found me there. Turns out they ended
up buying a home in my area about 4 years ago. They are about to have a
3rd child and are now looking to sell their current home and buy a new
one. We were friends while in college but hadn't seen each other since
we were married. My free facebook page (minus the value of my time that
I took creating it) will get me about 3/4 million in sales volume. I
hope nobody else sees the value in facebook, that way you don't get in
my way getting to the top ;-)

This is great and encouraging information, I am on several of these and currently am underutilizing them but felt there was potential, thanks to E-Pro and learning of success stories like yours, I am encouraged to be sure I use this opportunities more effectively. Thanks so much!

I LOVE Facebook!  Not only do I get to reconnect with people from high school and college, but also my family in the UK.  I haven't had an account very long, but I can certainly see the potential.  Some of my "friends" include lenders, inspectors and past clients.

I Love Facebook too! Have lots of friends who are Realtors also and yes, have connections with lenders and builders too! Have actually seen open house postings and luncheon invites! Even a listing posted with picture! Sooo glad to hear of the success story and hope to be able to have the same! Thanks for sharing!
