Dave Lowe Licensed Real Estate Broker,  FL

Date: December 6, 2008

Saul,

I think this is from the email sent out about a week ago dealing more in-depth with the outcome of the DOJ vs. Nar, it states that idx can only be done to sites that deal directly with the customer in the buying and selling process to get a feed and the access to the feed will need to be updated every three months or your feed access ends (much like FAR's idx feed).

Also it stated the owner/seller had the right to keep their address out of the feed if they so choose.

Keeping the address out will make it impossible to do mapping, estimates etc... and will be some form of addendum at the listing or maybe the listing contract will have a section dealing with the web and Q&A boxes.

I also read somewhere that the seller could have their home opted out from sites with auto estimates and blogs that buyers or neighbors could post anything they wanted unchecked.

Maybe you could shed some light on this as I could have misread and you know more about the MLS than most.
