Hi Dave,

A friend of mine is considering becoming a vitual assistant. If you don't mind me asking, what do they typically get paid and where would one list their services for hire? Thanks.

I'm not sure what Dave charges but I'm considering a VA too!  You might want to check www.KimHughes.comwww.myreassistant.com, www.thinksecondself.com, I think I am going to use KimHughes.  On thing that might benefit you also is to download, LogMeIn, that way your VA can remotely access your information for use.

You can offer your services through Team Double-Click at www.teamdoubleclick.com. In our area, I phoned on one ad for a Virtual Assistant. She was in a town about 70 miles away, and she was charging $15 per hour for her services.

I have found that most of the VA's focus on listing agents, and our several
buyer agents have not really found any that are set to service buyer agents.
For example, most deal with websites for you. We don't need that service.
One of our buyer agents wants someone to help set up showing tours, using
Google Maps, etc., and follow up with leads we get from our various web
sites. Two things that are quite time consuming for her to do herself.

Has anyone used a virtual assistant that does this sort of thing?

Paul, I have trained agents on MS Office for 9 years and perhaps can help. If you would like to talk about the follow up with leads that you get from various web sites…I would be interested in helping (not training, unless you want that too) you with this.

You can reach me at: jeffscoaching@comcast.net or go to my training website: www.ImpactYourSalesNow.com

I look forward to talking with you.

Paul,

I'm sorry to hear that you have yet to find a VA that can suit the needs of some of your agents. If you have not done so already, may I suggest a couple of organizations I belong to where you can go to submit RFPs to suggest the specific type of assistance you need. One is the Virtual Assistance Chamber of Commerce --  www.virtualassistantnetworking.com, another is REVA Professionals -- www.revaprofessionals.com. Please let me know if you need any help with submitting your request(s) to these organizations.

You can also post a job on Craigslist for a virtual assistant.   There are plenty of stay at home moms that left a career to be at home with their children.  Virtual assistants enjoy the benefit of working from home and having a flexible schedule.

RE: Virtual Assistants

I would recommend IVAA.org which is one of the largest Virtual Assistant organizations. You can post an RFP and specifically detail the qualities you are looking for.
