What is the technology that allows the TREO to be used for Supra keyboxes and does the Blackberry have similar technology or can it be added?  I can’t thank you enough for the e-PRO course and how excited I am about the future.  It’s a great tool to prove our professionalism.  I am glad these communities help remind us of some of the things we learned in e-PRO and elsewhere in our careers. The course could stand to address the smartphones and text messaging in more detail     I am in a contest that is using text messaging for voting for the best area Real Estate Agent.  Anyone Nationwide is eligible to vote.  Simply text mi2122 to 74568 to support your fellow e-PRO before Monday, 3/31.  I’d love to have the support of the online communities in this endeavor to be the BEST AGENT I can be.  If you have never texted before, Give it a try.  If you text routinely, you already know how easy it is to help me in this effort.  Thanks in advance…remember, there is no BEST REALTOR but I’d appreciate being regarded among the best Agents.  Hope you can help?

I have a Treo 700p and love it.  It is not without its problems however.  I have had to return the phone a few times due to problems with the speaker and also problems linking to my bluetooth.

My husband has the 755p and I can't tell much difference aside from it being a bit smaller.  Which is nice because they are on the bulky side.

If you have used a Palm PDA you will have no trouble learning how to use it.  The camera, calculator, contacts, memos and tasks work the same as the PDA.  The phone takes a bit of getting used to.

We don't have any experience with the blackberry.

......take a serious look at the new Motorola Q9c at Sprint! I LOVE mine! Everything I ever wanted and more! Mobile Office, e-mail, web, tv, GPS, sync's great with Outlook, it's window's based (so there's an armada of software engineers working on more future applications and add-ons)and more!

I just wanted to take a moment also to put my 2 cents in on the 755p. It is a really great tool for any real estate agent or those who live by their calendar and contact and need access to the internet let alone the power of sentra at your fingertips while showing homes. I have been a palm user for 2 years and just got my 755p in December...moving up to it from the 650. Wow what an upgrade. I could not live without it and I also was in Dick Betts class and he just confirmed that I had made the right choice in a PDA!

I purchased the Treo 750 in December and love it! I have email, internet (just about anywhere) and am compatible with SupraKey. I'm not sure why the GPS is important to you, but if it is for directions the Treo 750 gives great directions from Yahoo and other online sources. AT&T in the Orlando area allows 30 days for return with a $25 restocking fee.

Hi Everyone,

To piggy-back on Yoko's question:
Does anyone use the Verizon Samsung I760 smart phone?  I'm going to consilidate my palm & phone. I do not need a navigation system nor do I want to use it as my supra e-key.  This phone looks really good. It has voice commands, which I'm used to,  and the Treos do not have and it's not as bulky as the Treos.

I would like to hear comments on it if anyone has it - pros/cons.

Thanks!

Living in rural America has communication disadvantages for cell phone service but I love it. However would anyone know how dependable a Treo 755p might be where cell towers offer limited service? Nan Lambert Horseshoe Lake, AR nanlambert@aol.com

I used to love my Treo but I’ve decided that I might be better off with another type of smartphone.  I’m on my second 700p with Verizon.  Phone service in my area is great but the phone has decided to just die whenever it chooses.  It has died three times when I needed to show homes.  I just received the replacement and I was told by Verizon tech support that the problem was with Third Party Software.  Now I purchased the phone to be able to have only one device to keep up with but now I’m told the phone has a problem with Supra Software.  I paid $400 for a phone that I can’t use.  Verizon has replaced the phone but has told me that I can’t upgrade since I’ve not had a year but if I go through 3 phones they will let me upgrade.  By that time, I’ve lost customers due to my lack of response because of a not working phone.  I’ve had a Palm product since they were introduced and have training and really don’t want to go away from a Palm but I can’t jeopardize my business for a product that can’t guarantee me access to my listings.  I may go back to a cell phone and carry a Palm.

I would like to know if anyone has experienced these same issues with the 755p?????

Smartphone Choices:  I love my Treo! It has made my life easier. The compatibility with the supra was the first reason for getting it. Upon using the Treo , I found the other functions were even more useful.  Ex.  Messaging, photo, and internet capabilities to name a few!  Sharon Robinson  Robert Norwood and Associates Realty  Katy Texas  713-598-4093

Cheryl, I've had a TREO 700P with Verizon since June or thereabouts.  I have had no problems with Supra being on it.  I also have Agent Office, Wine Enthusiast and some other essential programs.

I used the 700p and now have a 755p for months and have had no problem with Supra.  My first 755p had trouble and I got a new replacement in two weeks.  I began having similar problems, rebooting all the time, shutting down.  Finally got a fantastic tech person on the line with Verizon and it turns out it was my hot sync program.  Been using the same hot sync for years.  Even though I was updating my hot sync with the Treo install cd, they said it completely needed to be uninstalled using windows remove programs, then install the new hot sync.  After I did that everything works perfect.
