I am posting this thread in all of the communities (hoping for an answer). When using a Table Notebook and filling out a document in Windows Journal is there any way to save that document as a .PDF format rather than in the Windows Journal format?

I am thinking if you want to E-mail that document (being a mobile Realtor) and it is in the Windows Journal format the recipient, unless they also have a Tablet Notebook or a Windows Journal viewer, won't be able to open the document and if that is the case what good is a Tablet Notebook?

Also, I did try saving a document in Windows Journal as a Word.doc but only a blank document was save; all of the writing and signatures on the document were not saved.

Download this free PDF printer and when you have something to e mail you can turn anything from Journal into a PDF. Just send it to the printer like any other time but instead of printing out on paper it will save it to your computer in a PDF.

I have found that the easiest way to convert documents like that to PDF is to install the free PDF printer program from PrimoPDF.com. You can then print just as you would to any other printer, but the document comes out in PDF instead of being printed to paper.

While in Windows Journal print to a pdf printer that comes with Adobe Acrobat or use Adobe Flash Paper or other pdf printer.   Windows Journal can email in html or as a jpeg.

I am also responding to the post by Mike Nielsen as follows :   I don’t see where about $25 a month would dissuade someone from using the VREO Red Tablet software as well as receiving the personal toll free fax number.  The ability to give your clients access to their files/documents online is also a plus.

There are other better uses of $20 or $30 / month than VREO.   You can get a vanity 800 number that will give you a “one” number system with a CRM that automatically links calls, emails and faxes captured to client and vender files.  It will keep all voicemails, emails and faxes so that you can review them in the client folder.  You can upload all transaction files to the site so that you can access them anywhere in the galaxy where you have internet access.  Check out Ring Central or better yet http://www.earnware.com/.  It also has autoresponders that can be programmed and find me follow me technology for your calls.   Every time a fax, email or call comes in the system calls you and or text messages you with the pertinent info.

Bob you could try going to pdf995.com.    Download the software to install as a pdf printer.   Then you can print he document as a .pdf and the program will ask where to save on your computer as a .pdf file.

Then you can attach it and send with an email.

SEND IN THE CHECK FOR THIS SHARE WARE SOFTWARE, IT IS WORTH THE $30

You may want to try a program call PDF Annotator. I have used it with my tablet for the last couple of years.

It allows you to write directly on any PDF and then save the PDF.

It can be tried for free for 30 days, then the cost is only $49.95 and includes upgrades.

It can be seen at

Hi Bob,
The answer to your question is "no". I use PDF Annotator you can get a free
trial here; http://PDFannotator.com . It only costs $50.00 for the software.
I don't use Windows Journal for my business at all. If the attachments I
need to send to a client are not all ready in .pdf format I convert them
with cutepdf writer; http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp
(it's free) and anyone can open a .pdf file. Then I use PDF Annotator open
them, mark them up and save. They will still be in pdf format when you save
them.
This combination has worked great for me; I hope that helps!

Thanks to all for the great advice concerning my Tablet/ Windows Journal concerns!

A relative of mine just purchased a Tablet/PC/Notebook. It has all the functions of a normal Laptop including an internal DVD multi-purpose drive, web cam, finger print security, card reader, broadband card slot, but has the touch screen (12.1 wide screen) for a Tablet function.

These are called "Entertainment Notebooks" but don't let that name fool you. I think this is the way to go instead of just the "normal" Tablet.
