I just purchased a new (my first) laptop a few minutes ago!  I ended up with a Dell XPSm M1330.

I startd with a Dell Inspiron 1420 and when I upgraded the memory and harddrive....I was told that the XPS is 2 lbs lighter...and much faster. and better. The difference is basically $525++ I am still thinking about it and I might even change my mind. Is it really worth it?

As an e-PRO, I suggest you look into the Gateway CX 2620. Make sure you order directly from Gateway and avoid purchasing from a retailer because customer service is much better if you buy direct from Gateway..they provide an '800' number for purchases made directly through them. Anyway, the CX 2620 is a "tablet" which means that you can "write" your contracts and have them signed directly on the laptop (It's like using the stylus at Wal Mart to sign Your name) vs. printing them out and having them signed. The benefit is that you can then email the docs to your client, the other agent and anyone else who requires a copy. Not only do you save paper (and trees) you avoid the "shrinkage" problem with faxes.
