Also want a camera that has at least a 35mm equivelant 35mm to 110mm focal length.  The shorter focal length being your wide angle (50-60mm is the 'normal').

Gary makes a good recommendation overall.  I would suggest buying a camera with the short focal length (the smaller number in the zoom range, e.g. 35-110mm) as short as 24mm; but 28mm is OK.  As Gary pointed out, these numbers are the 35mm equivalent.  The 28mm focal length allows you to capture more of the room in the picture.  When you take multiple pix, panning around the room for your "input" pix to Visual Tour that will be stitched together, you will need fewer shots to capture the 360 view of the room.

I have a Nikon D-80, which admittedly is overkill if used strictly for real estate, as is the D-200 which is a professional level body.
May I advise you all to buy a good dslr camera, but use it beside for the Real Estate also as a hobby. There are so many possibilities. It is so relaxing having such a hobby. My hobby is macro pictures and portrait close-up, because I love details. But there are 1001 options. What about your children, landscapes or art. It is like smelling the roses. Take a break once a while.

Recommend a digital camera

I opted for a Canon Digital Rebel so that I can swap my 35mm camera lenses with the digital camera.  It takes amazing photos and the prices are coming down all the time.  I also find that I have better luck using a Kodak program to alter and enhance my digital photos than I have with Photoshop.
