Using magnets for your 'marketing' -
Please help me understand the logic behind using magnets as a marketing tool. I don't get it....
Is it simply to keep your name in front of potential buyers and sellers? Do agents really think that simple name recognition is what is going to help them get business?
I believe that any and all marketing tools need to be evaluated on their return on investment (ROI). How do you determine how many deals are a result of your 'magnet' budget expense?

Hello,
A much better idea is to work with a professional certified Staging Co. My company works with the BEST Realtors! They understand the power of this marketing strategy. The listing Realtor pays for 2 hr. consultation for all listings. From 69,000. to 795,000. price range. The Realtors want ALL of their listings to be known as "good showing" for buyers & their agents.
I currently am working with Ohio's NAR past president. Some of our homes have even sold in ONE DAY! Paying for 1st consult is a much more effective way to position your self as THE REALTOR in your area. DesAnn Collins

I would buy calendar magnets from one of the big companies. I have been EXTREMELY HAPPY with magnetstreet.com
Before you add a biz card, punch out the center of the magnet, and set it aside.
Work on Publisher to create your phone # list. Send it to your title company & ask them to make flyers on card stock. Put your magnets on the back. You're good to go.

I would prefer designing a magnet with spaces for important numberssuch as: EMERGENCY 911, Poison Control, Mom@work, Dad@work,Neighbor, Doctor, Dentist, Veterinarian, Babysitter, and then someblank lines. I had one on my fridge for years and wish I still hadone instead of many little ones all over the place!! It wouldprobably be best to have it designed so that your important contactinfo is not easily cut off from the magnet! A house design mightalso be a good feature as it could easily be found on fridge doorclutter!! Also I would add a place for My address is_______ as inan emergency, people often forget (or the babysitter doesn't know)what the address is. Hope this helps.

There are several main tenets associated with marketing. Know where (areas) and who (people) you are going to market to, become a resource to those people, an expert in the area(s), set yourself apart from the competition in your chosen area(s), take care of your community (and your community will take care of you), and continue to keep your name in front of them. Show them how you are going to market their home if they list with you, and how you are

The MLS auto-prospecting system to mail localized information out to clients when homes on their street or neighborhood come on the market is a great idea.
Wow. Why didn't I think of that? Very nice touch.
