On the back of business cards......

On the back of my business cards I have discounts for many popular local vendors. There are bout 15 different discounts that somebody can get just by showing my card to the merchant.4$ off on an oil change, 10% on Pizza, etc. The client retains the business card, and just flashes it to the merchant. They don't have to punch it or anything like that.

I have many friends and clients, customers that habitually use my card for their favorite discounts, and keep it in there wallet or purse. The card expires annually, and they always look forward to getting the new card. It's about 250 for a 1000 cards, and worth every penny. I always  order a couple of batches every year.

These are really great for new agents because it gives you another reason to pass  out your card, and if you are timid like I am, you always have a reservation about giving your card to strangers. In our area the company that does this is www.clientcardz.com You can see what my business card looks like by going here:

Dan- What a great idea. Locally the schools sell a card similar to this as part of their fundraisers. Everyone loves them and I have people calling each year to order them. Just a question- do you find the paper card holds up? The cards the kids sell are plastic like a credit card. Thank you for sharing with all of us.

That's a great idea...even if you don't have them printed, you can add
stickers to the back if you have a company that wants to go in with
you...thank you for that great insight!

Kris....awww, if your cards are going to be competition for the kids' fund-raising, I wouldn't do it .... kids don't sell those here, so I could...

The back of your card is definitely a marketing tool. Do you absorb the entire cost of printing your card? Would those 14 vendors still want to be on your card if you asked them to help with the costs? You could also get a royalty from the vendors when they sell to a customer who presents your card for a purchase. Remember to make room for a short 'refer me to a friend' on the back, also, It's your marketing tool.

I print some of my own business cards (for marketing) to give to my sellers. On the back, I put a photo of their home, as well as a brief description & price.  I give the cards to the seller to distribute to their friends & co-workers. They're thrilled to pass out the cards in an effort to find a buyer for their home. I'm thrilled that my business cards are being passed out by someone other than myself. It's a total "win win"

Kathe Reip.... well now, that is just brilliant!  When I take/took listings, I always gave my sellers a few business cards to hand out to people that might ask about their house, but putting the photo of their house on there, that is a low-cost item with a huge wow-factor..... I thank you for that... made my day...
