Hi everyone,
In just a few weeks I hope to see many of you in San Diego at the National Association of REALTORS Trade Show and Convention. I have been asked for a short list of restaurants by a few of you so here it is…
Reasonable prices are hard to define, but my wife Janie and I, and John and wife Patty enjoy and have eaten numerous times at the following, posted here with links for your review:
Please note that there are many good restaurants in San Diego in the vicinity of the Convention Center.
The Gaslamp Quarter on 4th and 5th Avenue is known for having great choices.
One of my favorites for Italian is http://www.trattorialastrada.com/
Another in the Gaslamp is http://www.cohnrestaurants.com/restaurants/bluepoint/
Great Mexican food and freshly baked tortilla At The Guadalajara, in Old Town: http://www.bazaardelmundo.com/guad2006.shtml
The Fish Market, right next to the aircraft carrier Midway (close to Seaport Village) is good, http://www.thefishmarket.com/locations.aspx?id=6
Out in Ocean Beach is a very quaint and excellent restaurant, Thee Bungalow (http://www.cohnrestaurants.com/restaurants/theebungalow/)
One of the classiest restaurants in San Diego is Mister A's on 5th avenue…you can watch the airplanes land as you sit on the balcony, and from your table (http://www.bertrandatmisteras.com/)
The best fresh seafood without a doubt (very casual, picnic tables) is Point Loma Seafoods (http://www.pointlomaseafoods.com/)
Also in Ocean Beach, for the best hamburgers and "Local Color," would be Hodad's (http://www.hodadies.com/)
Go to http://RoyalHawaiian.com and click on my San Diego link at the bottom of the page for a quick guide of interesting spots in what we refer to as "America's Finest City."
