Is anyone creating their own virtual tours using photos and any of the virtual tour software programs that are available? If so, please let me know what software program you utilize and if you are happy with it or not. Thank you.

A friend and fellow agent in our office is doing that with photos that he takes himself (wonderful pics btw) and I think he uses one of the adobe programs. I will ask him and get back to you. I know it was either free or relatively inexpensive and does a great job.

Hey Andrew,

I hope you've thrown video into the mix for your consideration.

A Flip Camera and Mircosoft's MovieMaker are enough to get you started. The camera is avaiable on eBAY for about $100 and the software is free. Be sure to throw in an inexpensive tripod to use. Don't know about your MLS but I can upload my videos to YouTube and link to our MLS. The video can also be embedded in your website or blog. It's a fairly short learning curve.

Frankly, video conveys sooooo much more information than stills and costs a whole lot less to produce great "visual" tours.

If you are convinced to stay with stills you might look at www.animoto.com. They are slick and hip and their cost for a YEAR is what the visual tour companies usually charge per month. Yikes.
