Craiglist is a very popular website that is crawled frequently by the search engines.
Unfortunately inserting a link to your blog will not help with regard to search engine optimization. The reason is this tag in the head section of the web page:
<meta name="robots" content="noarchive,nofollow">
The "noarchive" directive instructs the search engine not to cache the page while the "nofollow" directive tells the search engine not to follow the links on the page.
Craigslist is an excellent website but it won't help with your seo.

The short answer is no. Nothng stays on Craigslist. If you want to imporve your link popularity by posting, you will need to build Social Media profiles that allow a real HTML link without a no-follow tags.

The most effective way to do this, is to get hundreds or even thousands of websites to link to you due to the quality of the information found there.

While you will not obtain a "do follow" link from Craigslist, it still seems to be a good idea to place ads for exposure purposes. Also, you might look into backpage, which is similar to craigslist, and I believe it gives you a "do follow" link.

Craigslist in search engine optimization and website promotion to boost your website's search engine performance. Posting well-written ads on Craigslist is free and will get you extra traffic, in addition to boosting the search engine performance of the pages you link to. Inbound links are vital in SEO, and you can make your own search-engine destiny by creating Craigslist ads that contain links to your website. This lens also describes a viable Craigslist alternative that is gaining considerable traction. Thanks for looking - I wish you a long and healthy life!
