Here's how to create a link to a Google map for a property.
1. Go to maps.google.com
2. Enter a address into the search box and click Search Maps
3. On the upper right side of the webpage click Link to this Page
4. There are two options displayed. Select and copy the one labeled Paste link in email or Im
5. You now have the url to google map. To create a link with this url insert the text into an html anchor link. Here's an example: <a href="http://myGoogleMapLinkUrl.com">Text to be displayed on the web page </a> Just replace http://myGoogleMapLinkUrl.com with the text you have copied from maps.google.com
That's all there is to it.
*If you would like to include the picture of the map on your website select the option Paste HTML to embed in website instead of Past link in email or Im.
Brian,

Hi All:
I thought I would pass along a mapping solution instead of a "simple" Google map. Try www.PeekaCity.com. It is a Google map, but includes neighborhood information and all nearby amenities. It can also generate a PDF report that includes maps, amenity addresses and phone numbers.
To use PeekaCity, pull up the address you want (currently supports Chicago, Manhattan, and San Francisco), go to Web Tools, and create a link.
For an example of how it looks embedded in an agent web site, go to http://www.robertdarrow.com/ and click on a property. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
All the best,
Paul
Paul, Nice clean site.
Wish peekacity would cover St. Louis Metro area. Liked your blog too.
