 Reading through the wealth of information on this site I find I am lacking in acronym vocabulary.  I would find it most helpful if there was a dictionary of acronyms that I could refer to on the site.  Should I consider myself one of the few that doesn't have a good vocabulary in tech acronyms or am I one of the many?

You are not alone. I as a new member of the blogging community am not familiar with many of the acronyms. A dictionar would be helpful.

I think you are one of many.  I am just finishing the e-Pro course where I have learned many new acronyms and have a glossary of acronyms among other tech terms
