Market conditions

Over the past three weeks, there seems to have been buyer activity,
like real people, in the area looking at homes! Now there is some
activity on my commercial listings - and that market is supposed to be
in a decline! So, stay tuned, and look for a confirming blog or two
over the next coupe of weeks.

Sonoita - Elgin - Patagonia Real Estate News: First half stats

 We knew the first 6 months of this year were slow. Now we know the numbers. From the Tucson Multiple listing service we have compiled the following: 2007 - $16,016,886; 2008 - $10,179,744; and 2009 - $4,326,432! Numbers of transactions show the same pattern with 66 in 2007, 16 in 2008 and 9 in 2009. 

Don't be too depressed! I actually think we are very close to the bottom. Stand by for the results for nine months and see if I'm right.

 

One of the top 50 places to retire

What a surprise! Well, I knew it all along. Elgin, Arizona ranks 10th in the latest BusinessWeek survey of the top 50 places to retire. It truly has the best year round climate, super mountain views and a growing wine industry. To see the actual survey, please click on the following link.
