Mar. 19, 2007 - Balancing the YIN and YANG

On March  27th 2007 I will have a visit from a Feng Shui master Lin Huang.  Ms. Huang has been a master feng shui consultant in the Las Vegas valley for over 15 years. I have long been interested in feng shui having read many books.  This journey into having a master come to my home will achieve one of the goals I set for myself this year.   I have many questions and have a thirst for this kind of knowledge.

Feng shui is the ancient art of placement and was developed over 5,000 years ago in China.  It is translated as wind and water.  It is based on vital energy called CHI  and the original ancestors learned how to arrange their environment around three feng shui principals.  Every person, place and thing is alive with CHI .  Every person, place, and thing is connected by CHI  and the CHI  is in every person place and thing is always changing.  Feng shui incorporates the concepts of YIN passive energy and YANG active energy.  Focus is placed on all five elements wood, fire, earth, metal, and water.  It is believed these elements interact with each other and are represented by certain colors.  Using these elements and colors in specific parts of a room may influence homeowners in their careers, spiritual growth, health, family, prosperity, fame, reputation, love and marriage, creativity, children, or blessings.  Feng shui can also affect the sale of a home.  I will be asking Ms. Haung some of those questions as w do the consultation.  Do any of you have any questions that you would like me to ask her?

I have been concerned by my mothers health over the last few years since we moved into this home.  Ms. Haung is aware of this concern and will address it.  She asked me several questions about our home.  The way it faces and of course the street address.  She also asked some astrological questions about birth location and times.

I will do a follow up after the consultation based on what I learned and as many questions as I can get answered.  Mine and yours.

Great idea!  I've heard a LOT of positive thing about this science, but haven't gone as far as you are.  Please let us know how your consultation goes and any good info you get from the master.

Thanks for sharing!

I have several clients who simply will not purchase a home without asking for the Feng Shui master's opinion. It is fascinating to watch. Currently I have a listing coming up where there are a lot of Feng Shui principles incorporated into the design. The result is a serene and peaceful environment which is pleasant to all of the senses. I am expecting a very fast sale because it has such great amiance. Good luck in your adventure!!

I think one of the basics of Feng Shui "How to Place the bagua" distinguishes those who commericalize the ancient art from those who really know what they are talking about.

Simply placing it at the front door is not always appropriate, in my experience.

I've been meaning to have an official reading of my house for some time.  Thanks for the nudge in that direction.
