Mar. 29, 2007 - Follow up to Feng Shui

I had my Feng Shui consultation on Tues and wow was she through.  Ms Haung arrived about 10:45 AM and finished at 1:45PM.  I was very impressed with her and am putting into practice what she told me more everyday.

First of all I found out you should NEVER EVER put wind chimes in the Northeast part of your yard or your home.  I had them everywhere.  All in the wrong place.

We started her tour outside and she made sure I had paper and pen.  So we started in the Northeast and that is where I had the wind chimes.  She removed them all.  She approved of all the flowers I had just bought.  She wants us to change the front doormat to a gray or black and we had the correct mix of metal out front.

Going in the front door, she said the rug we had a the inside was great, but turned it over and had me use a marker to make the yin and yang sign on the bottom.  On the outside ledge where we have a window that faces the street, I am to put a small white teacup upside down with a red dot on it to compensate for the triangle shapes of the house that is facing us across the street.  When you come in the front door it goes straight through the living room to a wall of windows.  To slow the energy down I am to move our fountain over in a different spot, the water will slow the CHI down.  My mom has a lot of jade that she bought in China and Ms. Haung raided her cabinet and placed jade dragons, horses, and a vase in various places through out the house.

She was very upset where I have my office stuff.  It is in the family room and I have a shelf where I keep some files, also a rolling cabinet and portable files.  My lap top is sitting on a TV tray.  She said I HAD to get a proper desk there.  That is because my "DESK" was a TV tray that was open that all of my business flows out and I have to work double hard to keep my business because of that.  My mom who also sits in the family room was not at all keen on that idea at all.   So we will have to see what can be worked out.  At least I was in the Southwest quadrant of the house which made her happy.  I also use a Verizon internet card for my access to the internet.  I am to get 3 Chinese coins and place on the internet card.

All of our pipes that water go through are to have red electrical tape wrapped around them once.  In every closet where clothes are hung the clothes all have to face the same way, that is left to right.

I found the whole thing fasinating and I am very glad I did it.  I still have quite a bit to implement, it will probably take me another week or so to get everything in place.  Then I know that it takes a awhile for the energy to build up.  So I figure I will report again in about 3 months and let everyone know just how much things have changed or not.

Mar. 19, 2007 - Balancing the YIN and YANG

On March  27th 2007 I will have a visit from a Feng Shui master Lin Huang.  Ms. Huang has been a master feng shui consultant in the Las Vegas valley for over 15 years. I have long been interested in feng shui having read many books.  This journey into having a master come to my home will achieve one of the goals I set for myself this year.   I have many questions and have a thirst for this kind of knowledge.

Feng shui is the ancient art of placement and was developed over 5,000 years ago in China.  It is translated as wind and water.  It is based on vital energy called CHI  and the original ancestors learned how to arrange their environment around three feng shui principals.  Every person, place and thing is alive with CHI .  Every person, place, and thing is connected by CHI  and the CHI  is in every person place and thing is always changing.  Feng shui incorporates the concepts of YIN passive energy and YANG active energy.  Focus is placed on all five elements wood, fire, earth, metal, and water.  It is believed these elements interact with each other and are represented by certain colors.  Using these elements and colors in specific parts of a room may influence homeowners in their careers, spiritual growth, health, family, prosperity, fame, reputation, love and marriage, creativity, children, or blessings.  Feng shui can also affect the sale of a home.  I will be asking Ms. Haung some of those questions as w do the consultation.  Do any of you have any questions that you would like me to ask her?

I have been concerned by my mothers health over the last few years since we moved into this home.  Ms. Haung is aware of this concern and will address it.  She asked me several questions about our home.  The way it faces and of course the street address.  She also asked some astrological questions about birth location and times.

I will do a follow up after the consultation based on what I learned and as many questions as I can get answered.  Mine and yours.
