Feng Shui For Travel

Dec. 6, 2007
Categorized in: Travel Tips

I was cruising around and found these Feng Shui tips for traveling this holiday. As a part ime employee for Continental Airlines in their baggage service office, I hope everyone does this. It would make my job much easier and everyone would have their bags with them.

On another note while we are speaking about bags, when you check in at the counter you are given baggage receipts thats numbers match the numbers of the tag on your bag. Also your name is also on the main tag on your bag. Please double check your numbers and name as so many of those bags look alike. It will make it more pleasant for you and I. I won't take a claim from an angry passenger and then have to track you down like Dog the Bounty Hunter. Then you won't have to make a trip back to the airport. All will be Happy!!!! Happy Holidays and Happy Traveling.

Daily Feng Shui Tip

Feng Shuiby Ellen Whitehurst. To try best to ensure that your luggage arrives at the same destination at the same time that you do, tie nine or 18 inches of red ribbon, string, cord or thread around the handle of each individual bag. To further quell any fears that your new New Year's Eve attire is celebrating on a carousel somewhere way South of where you've literally landed, put a braid of the herb, sweetgrass, anywhere on the inside of each piece that is traveling with you. Once you return home safely and soundly you can leave the red ribbons on the bags but you should burn the sweetgrass in an attitude of appreciation and gratitude that your travels were so full of ease and grace.

Balancing the YIN and YANG

On March  27th 2007 I will have a visit from a Feng Shui master Lin Huang.  Ms. Huang has been a master feng shui consultant in the Las Vegas valley for over 15 years. I have long been interested in feng shui having read many books.  This journey into having a master come to my home will achieve one of the goals I set for myself this year.   I have many questions and have a thirst for this kind of knowledge.

Feng shui is the ancient art of placement and was developed over 5,000 years ago in China.  It is translated as wind and water.  It is based on vital energy called CHI  and the original ancestors learned how to arrange their environment around three feng shui principals.  Every person, place and thing is alive with CHI .  Every person, place, and thing is connected by CHI  and the CHI  is in every person place and thing is always changing.  Feng shui incorporates the concepts of YIN passive energy and YANG active energy.  Focus is placed on all five elements wood, fire, earth, metal, and water.  It is believed these elements interact with each other and are represented by certain colors.  Using these elements and colors in specific parts of a room may influence homeowners in their careers, spiritual growth, health, family, prosperity, fame, reputation, love and marriage, creativity, children, or blessings.  Feng shui can also affect the sale of a home.  I will be asking Ms. Haung some of those questions as w do the consultation.  Do any of you have any questions that you would like me to ask her?

I have been concerned by my mothers health over the last few years since we moved into this home.  Ms. Haung is aware of this concern and will address it.  She asked me several questions about our home.  The way it faces and of course the street address.  She also asked some astrological questions about birth location and times.

I will do a follow up after the consultation based on what I learned and as many questions as I can get answered.  Mine and yours.
