<p> The pride of San Diego, Chula Vista Park View faces Texas today in the U.S Little Championship. The winner will face the winner of Taiwan vs. Mexico. Let&#39;s hope the Blue Bombers hit some more home runs and advanced to Sunday&#39;s championship game. </p>

<p> One of the few feel good stories for the Padres so far this year has been the return to San Diego of Tony Gwynn Jr. He was picked up in a trade earlier this month from the Brewers, and has been the sparkplug they needed at the top of the order. He&#39;s played solid defense in center and rightfield too(just like his dad). Here&#39;s a great article from ESPN on the father/son reunion. <p> I guess its good when you almost beat one of the best teams in the world however it was frustrating to watch the US squander a 2-0 halftime lead. </p>

<p> What a game last night! It&#39;s suprising that Derek Fisher was given room to make the three point shot to send the game to over time.<br /> Sorry Magic fans but as far as this series goes: the door is closed, the lights are out, the eggs are cooling, the butter&#39;s getting hard, and the Jell-O&#39;s jigglin </p>

<p> Next year the pro bowl will be played in Miami a week before the super bowl. This is very surprising. Obviously players in the super bowl will not play and its likely a lot of players who were in the playoffs will not participate. The game returns to Hawaii the following year. </p>

<p> It&#39;s great to see Phill back on top. It should make for an exciting golf season if Lefty is at the top of his game and Tiger comes back strong. </p>

<p> Alex Rodriguez took steroids, big deal. I know some baseball fans (George Will comes to mind) had hope he would eventually become the home run record holder who didn&#39;t require an asterisk next to his name. Unfortuantely I think there would be serious doubts about A-Rod even if the revelation that he was on the juice had never come out. Baseball was so negligent in addressing the issue that it is impossible to give any player who played during the steroid era the benefit of the doubt. </p>

<p> I think I would choose catching a winning touchdown pass. Hitting a home run or making a crucial golf putt would be my next choices but I think the thrill of catching a touchdown pass would be the best sports situation to experience. </p>

<p> The Super Bowl was exciting. I have to admit I kind of gave up on the Cardinals when the first half ended with Pittsburgh running the interception back for a touchdown.<br /> Its too bad Warner fumbled at the end, I would have like to have seen a hail mary try to Fitzgerald. </p> <p> </p>

<p> I was suprised to see Pittsburgh a 7 point favorite, thought the line would be a little closer. I think Pitt&#39;s solid defense will be able to pull out a victory but I will definitely be pulling for the Cards. </p>
