Real Estate Bloggers Embrace Web.2.0 in Blogging Webinar Series

RealTown Bloggers Mary Pope-Handy, Joeann Fossland, and Frances Flynn Thorsen celebrate top honors in Project Blogger competition sponsored by Inman News and ActiveRain in San Francisco in August.No Blogger Left Behind is a Webinar series developed to be a comprehensive course of instruction for real estate bloggers. The course will be conducted online via telephone and Internet, using moden conference call technology and Web based Powerpoint presentations.

No Blogger Left Behind is the brainchild of two notable real estate bloggers -- popular real estate coach Joeann Fossland, GRI, e-PRO, PMN, SRS ACRE, and Frances Flynn Thorsen, e-PRO, SRS, ACRE.

Thorsen is managing editor of and publishes several blogs, including The RealTown Report, The REALTYgram Blogger, and Web Women Giving Circle Blog. Fossland publishes Relaxed Real Estate for Magnificent Agents and a blog on ActiveRain.

Thorsen and real estate Blog Apprentice Mary Pope-Handy (shown above with Joeann Fossland) won top honors in a national blogging contest sponsored by Inman News and ActiveRain at the Inman Connect Conference in San Francisco earlier this summer.

The Webinar series will feature eight modules and it will be offered live starting October 4, 2007. The series will be recorded so that attendees can review the materials online if they are unable to attend in person.

WEEK THREE:  Creating the Blog

By week three you will be Blogging! You will have exercises to sharpen your skills between classes.

  • Adding a Domain Name
  • Working with Blog Templates 

WEEK FOUR:  Promote Your Blog Organically

On supermarket shelves, “organic” products have premium price tags. On the World Wide Web, “organic” means FREE. Learn how to seduce the search engine spiders and drive more traffic to your Blog.

  • SEO (keywords, backlinks, pinging)
  • Generational marketing
  • Directories and Communities 
  • Share your RSS feeds (learn what RSS is and how to use it!)

WEEK FIVE:  Track Visitors

Do you know that visitors to your Blog leave footprints?

… and you can learn to measure those footprints and profile your cyber guests?

… and THEN convert them to solid leads?

WEEK SIX:  Adding Podcasts and Video to Your Blog
