(NYSE: LPS), announced today that Long & Foster Real Estate, the largest real estate company in the Mid-Atlantic region, has selected LPS Real Estate Group’s Neighborhood & School Reports to be the exclusive provider of this critical consumer content for their company.
National Association of REALTORS® research suggests that 67 percent of consumers cite neighborhood quality as a deciding factor in the real estate purchase. Additional research also states that school quality is among the three most important reasons why Americans move. LPS Real Estate Group’s School & Neighborhood Report data comprises more than 100 different school and neighborhood data elements, including housing trends and statistics, demographics, local economic information, school, environment and quality of life covering all 50 states.
The data, which can now be found on Long & Foster Real Estate’s Web site (www.longandfoster.com), is aggregated from multiple sources, including U.S. Government census data, FBI crime statistics, state and regional education boards/districts and the National Weather Service. This neighborhood data is completely integrated within each property listing and the site overall.
