Andy Rapattoni Nominated for Prestigious Security Industry Award

Rapattoni Corp. has announced today that President/CEO Andy Rapattoni has been nominated for the Information Security Executive (ISE) of the Year West Award. The ISE Award programs provide both regional and national recognition for security officers and executives for their achievements and excellence in managing risk management, data asset protection and network security systems.

Rapattoni Corp. has also been nominated for the Identity Deployment of the Year (IDDY) Award. The IDDY Award, now in its second year, recognizes identity-based applications built using Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) technology.

"It is a tremendous honor for both myself and Rapattoni Corp. to be recognized by the security industry leaders," said Andy Rapattoni. "We feel that our effort in applying security industry standards for the real estate industry is opening up outstanding opportunities for our customers."

Both award nominations reflect Rapattoni Corp.'s commitment to Single Sign-On (SSO). The company offers implementation of SSO with all of its Internet-based programs at no additional cost to its customers. This feature allows MLS and association members to log on one time — using their user ID and password, and optionally a stronger token-based authentication — and then be able to access any other authorized web site without having to log on separately.

Rapattoni's SSO feature utilizes security industry standards, and is compatible with most commercial versions of SAML. This technology allows the customer to establish "trust" relationships with other complying vendors, and give its members the convenience of moving freely between web sites.

Peter Williams, Rapattoni's chief information officer, said, "These nominations highlight the regard that the security industry generally has for Rapattoni's successful application of Single Sign-On technology in organized real estate. To be nominated at this level is itself a privilege." Mr. Williams also commented, "The very process of being considered for these awards gives us the opportunity to network with security executives from banking, title, and other industries. Anyone who has gone through the home closing process knows that REALTORS must work with their professional counterparts in related industries, and it is logical that these will one day cooperate in a single SSO trust network for the benefit of the REALTOR."

The winners of both awards will be announced this fall. For more information on the ISE award, please see http://www.infosecaward.com/regional/west/. To learn more about the IDDY award, visit http://www.projectliberty.org/liberty/news_events/iddy_awards.
