Attending the Council of Multiple Listing Services Annual Event

John Reilly and I were at the CMLS this week. I have attended the annual CMLS event, off and on, for the past 25 years. About 10 years ago I attended and made the determination that MLS had grown into an industry of its own. I referred to my awakening as "MLS as an Industry."

Here is a promo piece from their site. CMLS is a great resource for anyone wanting to learn more about MLS, how it all works, and the future of MLS and the residential real estate industry. We will be doing interviews and will report our findings, and conclusions.

Here is a Piece from the CMLS Website

"CMLS2018 will bring the MLS community and real estate industry together to address the challenges of a rapidly changing marketplace and forge a new vision for the future of the industry. Dozens of compelling topics — the evolution of governance, national policy, and data standards; the prospect of tech-driven real estate transformations and transparencies; the infusion of venture capital to stimulate the next iteration of the marketplace — are only the beginning. This year’s conference will explore the movers, shakers, and makers of change."
