August Real Estate Statistics

Posted at 12:35 AM, Aug. 11, 2007

At the end of July 2007 there were 19.89 months of inventory on the market in the Washington County MLS area.  This includes residential home resales, lots, new homes, multi-family homes, townhomes/condos, and modular/mobile homes.  Compare this with June, 2007 where there was 14.68 months worth of inventory.

What does this mean?  If there are NO more listings that go on the market after today, it will take 19.89 months to sell what is currently on the market, if the sales volume continues at the same pace as last month (which was 284 sales total)

In June there were 384 sales and in July the total number of sales dropped to 284.  This represents about a 35% drop in the number of sales in a 1 month period.  This is the slowest month we have had in Washington County in the last 2 years.
