Go McCain/Palin. Save us all from Obabma's proposed socialism, an international crisis to "test" Obama in the 1st 6 months of his Presidency should he be elected, and re-distribution of our hard earned wealth to those that choose not to work as hard as I do.

I  am happy to see McCain Palin with this great start, lets keep it that way!  I dont want Socialism/Marxism. If you want to know what a black Christian fellowship goer feels go to www.freedomsjournalmagazine.com and listen to the video. It takes30-40 minutes to hear them out but well worth hearing it. I feel like they do.

Interesting, but I'm wondering why we need to bring politics into a real estate discussion group.  I have my opinion, you have yours, but we certainly have enough venues to express our opinions.  And we are certainly bombarded, day in, day out, with political opinions.

The discussion has already veered into "socialism," "Marxism" and a tinge of racism.  Speaking just for myself, that's not what I need to hear on a real estate forum.

Just my opinion, but I look to this group and others to offer ideas, tips, strategies and solutions that will help build our businesses.

Just a thought...

It's a beautiful (somewhat stormy) day here on the lake in Reston...hope it's a great day wherever you are, too!

I'm disappointed that there is as much McCain support here as this shows.  It means that this group is extremely unrepresentative of the rest of the country.  Hopefully they don't represent Realtors as a group.  When one looks at where our country was in 2000 and where it is today it is beyond belief that even a minority would want it to continue.

The difference in choices here is so extreme that the idea that anyone COULD be undecided is beyond belief.

I understand the view of those who think abortion is murder and that with that belief they CAN NOT support one for the presidency who does not share it. They will let the entire country go to hell before giving that up.  But, absent that position, it is far beyond me why ANYONE would support McCain over Obama.   It makes no sense.

I find it hard to believe that most of us aren't scared to death at the possibility that a nitwit could be within a breath of the presidency.  We are already the laughing stock of the world, based on the disasterous rule of our cowboy president.  If anyone is wondering why we have been unsuccessful in obtaining the support of our allies, look only to Washington.  I dread the thought of 4 or 8 more years of this...if we think things are bad now, just wait.

It is not surprising to me that there is a great difference in opinion in this very polarizing election.  The problem is that each side has a tendency to "judge" the other as either misinformed, liberal, conservative, intellectual or otherwise.  The choice is really pretty clear. I simply cannot understand why everyone doesn't agree with the way I believe :-)

I surely hope the results of this poll is "what is to come". According to NAR 73% or Realtors vote, here in Texas its 74% I hope our numbers increase this election.  Thanks Saul whether anyone agrees with the poll is immaterial, it does mean that everyone should vote their heart regardless who they voted for. It is one liberty given to every citizen in our awesome country.

Unbelievable.  One would think the country would have learned from it's last mistake.  When will anyone realize that the Republican party cares only for the wealthy (and I'm not talking about those making $250K either).  There has not been one thing they have done for the average American.  Where is your and my 401K?  In the pockets of the wealthy brokers who made lots of money while the administration looked the other way.  Thank you.  I've worked  30 years for nothing.  At this rate, I should be in poverty in my retirement years.
And for those who think the don't want their tax dollars going to programs to help the less fortunate because they don't work for it... Seems to me there was someone once who said: That which you do for the least of my brothers, you do for me.

How can anyone vote for a president of the United States who only rewards the rich and punshes the poor?

Yes, Obama will only raise taxes on those making $250,000 or more. If you make that amount, you are in the top 1% of the country.  Kuidos to you.  You worked hard to make it.

However, there are many who aren't as fortunate in making the choices and taking the chances that you have.  If you are making $250,000 or more, you are not hurting for health insurance, housing and food.  As a  matter of fact, you probably have a comfortable home, the option to eat at home or eat at a nice restarant once in a while, send your children to a reputable college and have some left over to invest in a 401k or whatever else you deem appropriate...

Do you even realize that there are those who are working 2 jobs, making minimum wage, hardly see their children, have minimum or NO health coverage, love their families as much as you do,  and are not able to take the chances you may have taken, at this stage of life, to "make a killing" because it could put their whole family in jepeordy? Most likely, those chances haven't even become apparent  or available to them.

Yes, we all vote and support what will  benefit us the most.  If you make less than $250,000 per year, are self employed (must buy your own health insurance}, how could you vote for someone who is a "spoiled rich boy"?  McCain never wanted for anything.  I won't go into detail
{as Obama hasn't-though not for lack of ammunition!}  The point is, when you have everythingt you need in "spades", it is hard to relate to those who need to "scrape" for everything they get.

Obama has seen this and is proposing a solid solution  for the "middle class".  All you have to do is ignore the "smear" emails you may recieve and really explore the reality. Look at truthvsfiction.com

I made my mind up the moment I heard the Rev. J Wright speak, and learned the Barack Hussein Obama had been attending this radical, black racist church for the past 20 years, married him and baptized his children..I am not voting for THIS black man..Call me a racist because of that, I really don't care, but there is such a hypocritical double standard being applied here..Nver mind Farakan and Fleuger...

When it became politically expediant, Obama "denounced," Wright...He sat there for 20 years and listened to him talk..Guilty by association, hell yes..

Imagine the uproar, (rightly so) had McCain been attending the church of David Duke, or another white supremicist preacher for the last 20 years? He would not have a snowballs chance in heel of being elected..The media would be all over that past...Obama gets a pass, with the help of the Leftist media...Oh, then their Ayers, Rezko, etc..

He is nothing more than a Chicago political thug, who has done nothing of importance, other than giving a decent speech, and being "clean." Bidens remarks, not mine..He has less that 150 days of Senate experience behind him and we might elect him to the most powerful position in the world..No wonder most of the radical Muslims want him elected, he'll be their best friend..

Obama is a socialist, period, his record and speecehes are all we need to look at..His own runnning mate slammed him during the primary, said he (Biden) would be proud to run with McCain..Who wants a weak President who "will be tested."

I can only hope that the vast majority of Americans, the silent white majority, comes to their senses on election day and refuses to vote for THIS black socialist...

Oh, let's not forget the veiled threats being bantered about should Obama lose, the LA riots all over again...

I saw a "car wash" vote on TV. There was a McCain line and an Obama line. The count fluctuated, depending on events in the news, but most of the time it was relatively close. I love this "poll," and even better, I like the outcome so far!

My greatest concern is an overwhelming Democratic majority in the House, Senate and no checks and balances at all from the Executive Branch. Even if McCain wins, he will face enormous obstacles advancing any part of his agenda or in curbing extreme legislation, whether it be the tax code, government sponsored healthcare (it does such a great job with all the existing entitlement programs already in place, especially social security,) energy policy, etc., etc.

Think about Supreme Court appointments...the recent decision that allows taking of private property, not for roads, bridges, etc., but for malls or any use that is deemed "better" or that brings more taxes to a community. Simply un-American! Go McCain-Palin.

Unbelievable is quite true.  I see there are two sides to two different stories going on in this election. From what I hear and see from comments, people like Obama mainly because he is new and fresh and they hate George Bush.  New and fresh is fine, but if his approach is fundamentally flawed, that is a problem. I don't think Barack represents the founding fundamentals of THIS country. His founding principals are espoused by the likes of Jeremia, Louis, William, Tony, Acorn, etc. This election is turning into a class war pitting the "middle class" against the rich.  The "rich" have too much of the pie, so take some of theirs and give it to the "lower classes" with the assumption that the pie is only so big, thereby making EVERYONE middle class and dependent upon government to take from and give to. McCain's approach is based on the Founding principals espoused by the likes of George, Thomas, Ben, James, John and a host of signers of the Declaration of Independence based upon freedom and opportunity. In this country, the USA, the "middle class" has (at least for now) the freedom and opportunity to BECOME the 'rich' by increasing the size of the pie so that there is more for everyone.  The blame of George Bush and the republicans for the housing fiasco and ensuing mess is also fundamentally flawed.  He and McCain tried to stop the nonsense of Barney and Chris, et al, who at EVERY turn and opportunity, from DAY ONE of their 'loss' in Florida, relentlessly pillaged the administration of GWB and the republicans with the biased media as their co-conspiritor.   Whoa....did I just say all of that? GWB's real fault lies in the fact that he failed to do enough to protect us from the left wing agenda of this society.  But that's not really HIS job, it is OURS.  Now, go VOTE.

I am very happy with the poles as they are at 5:30PM, 10/25.

I hope people will seriously look at what is best for the country.   My vote is for McCain.  He has the experience, will work to improve business, no increase in taxes.  No redistribution of wealth.  I can live with Palin, she will have enough advisors if anything happened to McCain, things would be fine.  She is no dummy and a fast learner.

For those that want to take from the rich and give to the poor , think about how those who are are rich got  rich, or have higher income then average.  They work, worked and worked to get what they have.  Let others do the same thing.  A few was born with a silver spoon inthere mouth, not most.

Do you really want a Demo. Congress, Senate and President, I think no, we will be in for trouble.  No control

I am certainly glae that the rest of the country is more plugged in than the Realtor Community. I had not realized Realtors were this myopic. In my office I hear the same kind of narrow minded, misinformed stuff and consider the source. It has always been my view that we need to mirror the larger population and not drive buyers and sellers away with the kind of views that are biased by Fox news as the only source of misinformation and miseducation. It saddens me to see how many RealTalkers seem to be suffering from amnesia. Think about where this country was 8 years ago. Were we at war? Was our economy in the dumpster? Did we have a deficit that our children and grandchildren will be paying for the rest of their lives?

What has the "compassionate conservatism" of George Bush done for us? Did the "Uniter" unite us? Or did he divide us? And now we have McCain/Palin following in his footsteps.

The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and expect a different outcome. Thank God the majority of the American people are not insane; only the majority of RealTalkers.

Dear Fellow Realtors,

I have read your comments. I paste here an e-mail from a sailor in Kuwait who was so kind to respond to the boxes full of goodies we sent to her unit. In the three years I have been involved in doing this, I have come to count my blessings every day for all that is right in our country. This election season has been an illustration of how our media and our politicians do not get it. I hope you all consider how blessed you all are. Please consider that we have troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Jabouti, Korea, Japan, Germany, Cuba, Taiwan,................. and no matter who is elected, they will still be there.

Dear Love Boxes for Our Troops,
We just received a number of your special boxes at our unit and it was amazing to see the responses from so many regarding the contents. The snack foods sent in the boxes were totally right on regarding thought and need here at our location and brought many smiles esp. from our single sailors who are away from family and/or receive little from family.

Despite being almost 6 years into this war,  it truly amazes me that we still have organizations like yourself who continue to support those of us who are still over here.

Though the heat in Iraq is mostly gone, there is still a lot for us to do to help get this country back on its feet and I expect we may be here a lot longer. THANK YOU for continuing to REMEMBER all of us who serve. WE appreciate your efforts in making us feel valued back home with the wonderful treats and obvious commitment that goes into keeping this service alive. Your efforts are really, really valued by us… THANKS AGAIN!!

I've read all the postings and don't recall a single poster that said they changed their mind about how they are going to vote in the real election. I appreciate the humor, and have deleted the party line ranting. I had hope at the start that we were better than that.

I also see no point to this "poll". My vote in the real election will take into account ALL of my concerns, not just by business leanings. I'm also a married, home-owning grandparent that has health insurance (for now). I also don't have enough savings to retire, have an active interest in improving our nation's educational standards. I try to keep my religion and politics separated. And I have a lot of other concerns. My vote will be for whichever candidate meets MOST of my needs, not just my real estate needs, and I think most of America will vote the same way.

Therefore, I don't care how a bunch of real estate folks vote, because they aren't just a bunch of real estate folks. I don't care how the military votes. I don't care about anyone's Alaska approval rating. I've carefully studied the issues and will only vote only once when it matters. May you all do the same.

I believe our election poll adds validity to the parties' internal polls which show that the race is very close.  The national polls are obviously media based to discourage voters.  Those of us that are free market economists, we need to encourage our friends to support the ticket(McCain/Palin) that rewards effort, inititive, and validated achievement.  My son is presently living in Denmark which is a socialistic system, he often comments on the lack of inititive of the countries works and the high cost of products.  He wanted to purchase a turkey last Thanksgiving. An 8 pound turkety was the equivalent to $60 US dollars; a can of beans was $3 US dollars. Tax on automobiles is 180%.  Yes that is a zero after the 8.  Chicago politics and Rev. Wright do not support the America that I know and that was founded upon our  nation'sConstitution.  There is more than economics at stake; the Supreme Court is equally or more important.  We do not need activitist judges appointed to this Court.  Who do you want to appoint our next Supreme Court judges?   I could say more, thanks you.  JM

Dear Fellow Real Talkers,

I enjoy the variety of opinions. Let's not take it so seriously! In fact, most people, not just Realtors, are polarized. It's hard to believe there could actually be undecideds. They're probably afraid to raise their heads above ground, as they might get bitten off by someone who disagrees. I feel very passionate about my views, but can allow that someone with opposing views feels the very same way.

Thirteen years ago I had a roommate from China. She was afraid to say anything about the Chinese government and almost had a heart attack if I criticized our government. We are fortunate to have the ability to express our views without being locked up or tortured until we "get our minds right." I am grateful to Meggan McGraw and the rest of the military who put their lives on the line for us. I'm glad that all of you care who our elected leaders are and have taken the trouble to express your views, although I doubt that anyone has changed their mind and most are probably more entrenched than ever.

Hi All,

I know this is just a poll and is meaningless but voting here was quick and easy unlike the hours we will spend waiting in lines next Tuesday. I trust the turnout will be better then too. As of noon today only 7.5% of us RealTalkers have voted.

 Thank you for your time.

The # of folk who think McPalin would do better just amazes me.  I'm so fed up with the insinuations re Muslim, Ayers, and anything else that can be thrown into the pot to cause trouble.  Now, there has already been one assassination plot against BO, wake up people.  Name calling is contemptuous and shameful (I just despise myself when I fall into that trap).  Let's elect someone who wants to bring us together, not pull us apart.

When Clinton and Bush (the first) spoke at the Realtor Conference, they both agreed that their best legislation passed when congress was of the other party.  If you are undecided, you may want to consider that putting one party in total control has never really worked in this country.  Who is supposed to temper party bills that go to excess?

In my opinion, the last thing that we need right now is to grow the government even more than what it currently is.  OUR government doesn't run like a good business now, so why would we want to make it larger and allow it to have a greater effect on all of us.  Needless to say, the increased redistribution of wealth does not promote work ethic, which is what this built this country.  I'm all for giving a hand up to someone who truly needs but that's now how our government systems work.  But "Teach them to fish versus just give them a fish."

Also remember that as in real estate, everything runs in cycles and every American will need to work to get us and the US and the reat of the World back on a positive trend.  It won't be easy no matter who wins the Presidency and the Congressional seats.  Permanently increasing the government's size and allowing OUR government (the President and Congress) to have more control over every aspect of our lives in this difficult time is not the answer to me though.  Remember, that our elected officials are primarily  professional politicians and/or past lawyers and we all should know that the majority of them do not truly think like the rest of us.  They are supposed to work for US and not the other way around, but that is soon forgotten when they get to Washington.

A McCain supporter hoping for the best future for all Americans.    Also, a conservative Midwesterner who grew up with a strong work ethic and family values.

I have friends in Europe who are tired of the socialism and looking to move to the U.S.  Socialism doesn't work for those who choose to work.

Are we Americans working to share what we earn with those who have been on welfare for the past 5 to 6 generations? (that appears to be the agenda of the Socialist democratic government).

. . . and the hardest cut of all. . . electing a brash, self serving politically maneuvered newcomer who refuses to pay homage to our symbol of democracy because he feels it's a global sign of oppression?

I say "Go McCain" but only because I feel (as I have over the past 3 presidents that my choice is the lessor of two evils).

WOW!  I just read all of the posts in this blog and I can tell you without any doubt that we are a divided nation.

Facts: November 4, 2008, a date the American people will make history.  We will have either a Black American male as President or a White American female as Vice-President.

Facts: Each time a Democrat is voted as President the Military men and women suffers drawbacks and less increases in pay. Each time a Republican is voted President the Military men and women get more support and a larger increase in pay.

Opinion: My opinion is exactly that "MINE" not yours. So with that said, I will post to this blog with my opinion and a few facts on this issue.

I don't think either candidate is what we need for this country, however we must choose one since there is no Independent candidate running. Which one will be the lesser of the two evils? Is should not have anything to do with one being a young black man and the other being considered part of the good ole boy network, but it will and it does because the media makes it that way. Yes, the RACE CARD will be played either way.

If Obama gets elected it will be more so that he is a black candidate than what his agenda is or his policies for change will be. Opra calls him the ONE. The one what? The one who is very charismatic with his speeches, talks as if he has been in the Senate for years, sides steps every question with a question or a quote. The one who refused to put the debate on hold for a day so that he (as an elected official for the people, by the people) and his opponent could participate with congress to vote (which is why he was elected to the Senate in the first place regardless if he is running for President or not) on the economic bailout. The one who was called out and questioned why he has never visited the troops over in Afghanistan and Iraq since the war started and only did so when it benefited him. His running mate Senator Biden even said that he lacked the experience to be president. Don't get me started on Acorn, one of the biggest corruptions in the Legal/Political arena.

If McCain gets elected it will be more so that the votes were rigged or flawed than what his agenda or policies is. He's a war Hero and he should be commended and respected for that instead of being ridiculed. However being a war hero does not make someone qualified to be president. He voted against pay increases for the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines. Will it be 4 more years of the same? Who knows!  He is somewhat at times out of touch with the issues. His running mate seems more connected with the American people than him or Obama & Biden.

The Republican Vice-Presidential candidate (a female Governor of Alaska) has been ridiculed about the cost of her clothes (get real people) and that she does not have the experience to be President in the event something happens to McCain. I do remember that this nation elected a Democratic Governor from Arkansas 16 years ago and he didn't have any experience, so what is the difference? General (Retired) Colin Powell said that one issue he was concerned about with McCain was his choice of a running mate. Does he have a problem with women being in the highest offices? She has more experience in politics than the Democratic Presidential candidate.

Which candidate will be there for our Military? I'm not talking about the withdrawal from Iraq or Afghanistan, I'm talking about better health care, keeping the benefits they were promised instead of taking them away each year and an increase in pay for the job they do protecting our freedom to be able to speak our opinion.

The economy is in bad shape we all know it, however we did not get here because of 8 years of bad presidency. We got here because we allowed our elected officials in congress to make laws and change laws that fatten their pockets. We allowed our Senators and House of Representatives to attach programs/polices to bills that had no reasons to be there and refuse to vote yes to allow a good bill to become law unless it had their pork attached to it. We stood by and allowed Congress to pass a bill to increase their paychecks by 13% and we allowed them to live high on the hog with lobbyist while we busted our asses to make ends meet. Its not the President that makes laws for this country, it is Congress. My 2 cents on this issue.

My vote will count on Nov 4, 2008.  I hope yours does.

I think it"s kind of sad to listen to how Obama/Biden keeps referring to President Bush's approval rating that is around 38% the last time I checked. Which I have to admit is really low and I totally disagree on a lot of things he is doing. When you hear this you would think that the Congress approval level MUST be a lot higher. It is actually 18%! Can you believe it? That's 18% since the Democrats starting running Congress at that figure they would love President Bush's approval ratings! But no, we are suppose to forget that.

Now lets look at Palin's approval level. Can you say over 80%? Ever wonder why Obama/Biden never gets asked why?

The current shape of our economy is not because of 8 years of bad presidency.  It is because of a genuine but ill advised attempt to get folks who really couldn't afford it into home ownership.  This started with Carter, accelerated with Clinton and has been pushed by democrat legislators resulting in the low down loan products, the real culprits of the '00 to '05 appreciation, that led to the current upside down buyers problems and therefore our industry problems.  The solution is not to elect someone trying to help the less fortunate with more schemes with unintended consequences.

Aloha All,
I have managed to get to this point without posting a comment although every day I am tempted to share my opinion, why I am not sure. One thing is certain this will be a historical year and no matter who you vote for I am inspired to see the american spirit alive and motivated to vote. In all my years I have always been disappointed in the low voter turnout. I never understood why more people didn't want to exercise their constitutional right.

Political parties aside...Thoughts to ponder...Who will be the best choice to bring the nation together? Who do you honestly believe is the best choice for VP? Would you vote for them for President? My best question is this when and where have you ever seen 100% of any group any where agree on anything?...it boggles my mind to think that people honestly believe if the Democrats had the majority of seats in the house they would suddenly all agree...it won't happen, it has never happened regardless of which party had "control". Setting aside the media pros and cons and honestly searching your heart and soul for the best message, the best promise of hope for the country...who do you trust really? Who has the best chance at effecting change?

It is not surprising to me that in the Realtor poll the Republicans have the most votes I am just not sure why. I don't know many agents who make over $250k so it can't be taxes.

I have been both heartened and saddened by some of the posts on RT, the frustration and anger aimed at each other is heart wrenching at a time when we should all be pulling together.

I am hoping in the next election RT will create a separate group for the political commentary. For those of you interested I think CNN has done a fantastic job with the "Fact Check" and No Bias/No bull, check the facts and you will find that both sides have done their share of misleading and completely false campaining, unfortunately that is politics.

Lastly I have to say Senator Obama has in his corner Joe Biden, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore and lets not forget Colin Powell just to mention a few...John McCain has Sarah and Joe the plumber and for me age is a huge issue...I rest my case.
No matter who you vote for...thank you for caring enough to vote.
God Bless America!

I have talked to hundreds of people all over the Country- and they are Frightened by the prospect of where an Obama administration would take us.  By far- people from  Democrat, Independent and Republican backgrounds have expressed that they support John McCain and Sarah Palin.

We can only pray that our election process will allow McCain-Palin to overcome the obstacles that have been thrown in their path.

I have to add a little different opinion on this election.  I had an open mind when this presidential campaign began. But after listening to Obama talking in such a negative way and totally dogging out the “White Grandmother” that raised him, and the fact that she made ultimate sacrifices for him as a child growing up. I found this attitude applauding.  The way he talks about her as if she is garbage.  Instead he should be thankful and praising her for taking him in to care for him at that time of his life. Unless she was this terrible bad person that was a drunk or on drugs or treated him badly or was abusive to him then he could make his case about her.  I totally lost all respect for him as a person because of this issue.  I haven’t seen anyone even bring up this important point.  I know there will be something said about what it has to do with him being president.  But it differently goes back to his character and his own prejudice by his attitude and his demeanor.  Then I’ll never forget what my mother use to tell me about “birds of a feather flock together”, and “you surround yourself with people that you want to be like”.  So when you take this into account it isn’t hard to come up with the person that should be in the White House.

You are either going to have to Open Your Minds or Open Your Wallet on Election Day!  There needs to be a freeze on speeding and taxes until some of these unnecessary programs are done away with.  And there are plenty of them that can be eliminated.  We don’t need more spending at this time. This country has been in for a very deep correction for a long time now.  It was coming from the Clinton years and with 9/11 just got derailed. There is another point I would like to make and it is I think the President should have to serve in the Military to become President.  They need to have the full knowledge of how it works before the can command it.  No one likes the thought of wars but there have been wars throughout history and they will continue in the future.  So we need strong leadership in this area so we aren’t such a divided country and will stand together when these times come.

Thank you for allowing me to voice my thoughts and opinion.

I am with many of you. This poll is good to see. It is my hope and prayer that the election will reflect these results.

To the Obama supporters that keep saying McCain supporter are on issue voters:
Yes, I am pro life; In fact I walk the talk – I have three adopted children (all after the age of 45). I differ from many on my side in that I feel the best way to stop abortions is not by changing the law but by changing peoples hearts.

As for Obama; the reasons I will never vote for him can not fit on this page. It all has to do with the direction he wants to take our nation. His vision for America is not the vision I have or that of the Founding Fathers. I want the government to keep our nation safe, provide basic services (run by local government) and stay out of our way. The policies Obama and his party want to put into play will only hurt productivity, reduce investing, and reduce private sector jobs. He will increase spending, create jobs programs and expand the government. But the main reason I will not vote for Obama is because of his world view (what little we know) Obama is clearly a liberal, in fact he is more socialist than liberal. Take a close look at his childhood, his education, his work, and his books. This man wants nothing more than to take this nation down a very dark path. Our nation will not look the same in four years. The “Joe the plumber” encounter shows his true colors. He wants to spread the wealth, if you don’t support his view you are selfish. Well this is one Realtor who is selfish. My government has no right to take my hard earned money and give it to someone else. The fact is some 30% of the nation does not pay taxes, he can’t give 95% a tax cut (well maybe he can after the Bush tax cuts expire) He will expand the non-tax paying population and his party.

Our nation gives all people the opportunity to succeed. Most of us failed many times before found success. Obama wants everyone to succeed without the fear of failing. The problem is failing is the fire that makes us better. Just look at the nations of the world that have tried the Obama formula, a few have the power, the rest wait in lines for bread.

I am Pro Life – but never a one issue voter. My prayer will be with our nation and our leaders.

No one has mentioned the abortion issue.

Women deserve better than abortion!

My leanings are more democratic, but I am pro-life!  Talk about a lonely place!  No candidate fully represents my views.

Just as a person standing on a bridge about to jump off is obviously in a state of crisis and not thinking clearly, so too the woman thinking that killing her child is the best course of action in solving a personal crisis.

Let's focus on the women and their needs!  Let's be there for them!  I am a pro-life feminist!  (another lonely position)

If we continue to kill our own children and tell distraught young women that they are doing the right thing to kill their children, our country will never find peace.  Abortion is the reason there is so much war in the world.

Let's live in peace- let;s feel each other's pain and reach out in love to one another.  When we make mistakes let's forgive and cry together and help each other up.  Let's not spread blame but hope

To quote a song.." Love is the only house big enough for all the pain in the world."

Let's start now by helping distraught women find another way out of their crisis than abortion.  For those who have had abortions, let us have open arms to love them and help them heal.

Again, let us cry out together in a loud clear voice:

Women deserve better than abortion!

As an ex- U.K.  resident the rest of the world cannot understand why you would want the failures of the last 8 years to continue and a good many are very scared of worse case scenario i.e. Palin becoming President by default.  We see Obama as only slightly "left" of McCain  i.e. similar to the Labour Party and the Conservatives in the U.K. and therefore not Socialist or Marxist either. Also you have to remember what message you will be sending to the rest of the world if you vote in McCain because your World standing will futher sllde down lower than its already down now.
Finally for all those who think earning $250K is not enough to warrant a little extra tax should be ashamed.

Dear Paul,

It's good that you do not vote yet because with your present views, you would be voting for a loser (Whether he wins or steals the election).

Since you do not know American History, I would recommend you try to learn it. We are such a Young Nation! Only 230+ years young. How old is your U.K? I hope you know.

Anyway, I will tell you something about us, the USA.

Abraham Lincoln, a Republican, when our country was enduring the Civil War (1861-1865) said: 'SLAVERY MUST DIE THAT THE NATION MIGHT LIVE."

We, Republicans, do not hate black people. We embrace them as brothers and sisters. We do not hate Obama because of his shade of color, but we are tired of his lies and misleading speeches.

He, on the contrary, has critized America, and our Constitution, and our Values.

He has filled his mouth with his rethoric of the last 8 years of the "failed Bush administration." He has even convinced you. I am so tired of his eloquent untruths.

He, Nancy Pelosi, Nita Lowey (here in my County of Westchester, NY) have ridiculed President Bush without mercy. They ought to be sued for slandering!!

He is not stupid, he knows that President Bush tried to put things in order with regards to regulations in lending practices, however, 9/11 came upon us (Clinton's residues) & that specific issue of Bank regulations had to be put on hold, but the greedy people in congress & lending institutions took advantage of it.

Did you, Paul, know that there is an institution that would sue the banks when they did not approve loans for people who did not qualify???

Whether they could afford it, did not matter, as long as they were "minorities" they had to get approved. This institution would even pay for the down payment and renovation cost as long as a minority would get a home...

Nothing wrong with that if they can afford it! Sadly, the results show it, they could not. Since they had no money of their own invested in the properties, it was simple for these minorities to not pay their mortgage and abandon their homes, hence the National Foreclosures epidemic outbreak!!

Are you getting the point, Paul? Please follow me.

This institution is ACORN. They would sue the banks if these loans were not approved, they would accuse them of USING DISCRIMINATORY PRACTICES and in the process, their friends (OBAMA ONE OF THEM) would fill their pockets. Well... He was the Community Organizer!!!

I know some realtors must have been involved in these shady businesses, But, there are bad apples in every profession, aren't there?

As Realtors, we know that we are allowed to discriminate on Only ONE basis: Financial. Otherwise, we only see one color: Green. If the buyer has Money, he/she can buy anywhere they want, we don't steer,(Ouch, sorry if it hurts) right?

Now, the same ACORN institution is the one who was registering new Obama voters. Of course, and by the thousands...

A liberal judge ordered that the homeless be allowed to vote & their place of residence be a PARK BENCH!!! Yes, Paul, a park bench.

First, these people can vote in their town of residence and then, they become "homeless" & vote from the park in the neighboring town.

Obama & his crooked team, think they are so smart!! It's amazing! Wow!!

Shameless as they are, while trying to put their hand in our pocket, with the other they point the finger at whoever may oppose them!

Paul, what message would we be sending to the rest of the world if the majority of Americans vote for Obama??? God forbid!

NO, America Will Vote Wisely. COUNTRY FIRST!

BTW, America, do we have any confirmation that the money raised is not coming from Osama Bin Laden? or other America haters?

I know his illegal aunt generously gave to his campaign $260.00

But, his millions... I wonder who the very generous donors are. Since sources are not revealed we may have to find out after the fact...

Take some time to watch www.freedomsjournalmagazine.com

May God Continue to Bless America. As opposed to J Wright's bad wishes...

I can say with full confidence: Judge me by my friends. Can OB say that?

Paul, this is just the economic aspect of the election. I would tell you the others, but I have to go...

Allie, Great post you said it better, and kinder than I would have. Paul if you wanted socialism why didn't you stay in Europe, if it wasn't for the U. S. you people in Europe would be speaking German today, and clicking your heals together when you saluted. You bet I'll vote wisely for a true american hero.

Thank you, Roger.

With your permission, I'm going to post your comment and my comment on a new lead, with the hearfelf hope that people will come to their senses and tomorrow will put their Country first, not their color, or the checks that they will not get.

John McCain does not offer to shower us with checks, but those who work are entitled to tax breaks. But we need to work first, something that groups of people are kind of reluctant to do because food stamps, section 8, & Medicaid is  less burdensome...

Under President Bush, welfare is called: Workforce. There's nothing wrong with that. The requirement is go to school, get some type of degree & work in order to get government's help. It's fair, I see nothing wrong with that.

Roger & Allie

Thank you for your comments but i feel an answer to a couple of points you raised are required.
EVERY Politician misleads and bends the truth to suit their own political position.
Britain is not a Socialist Country.
You are being discriminatory about the homeless person as they could be a veteran or an ex-Realtor. Why should you lose the right to vote just because you are homeless.
Suing banks because you do not qualify is wrong but your culture is all about suing so it was bound to happen.
Britain / Europe may have needed your help to bring Hitler down but remember he never invaded the U.K. Why? (The U.K. has not been invaded since 1066 and we have breweries older than the U.S.A.)
Finally i assure you that when Obama wins the rest of the world will think the majority of Americans have come to their senses and will look forward to a better U.S.A .This will have a huge positive impact on your world standing, improve the economy and bring back peoples belief of the American dream. Thats what we all want.

Happy Voting.

I would like to say congratulations to the President Elect and his supporters.  We have made history in this country, now lets put her back together so we can stand proud once again.  Lets lick our wounds and go forward with out any ill feelings and work together as a united America instead of a divided America.  That means that we as the people must hold this new President and the Democratic Congress accountable for their actions.  Democrats here is your chance, if you fail you can't hold the Republican party responsible.  The majority has spoken, time will tell if this country has made the best choice.  God Bless us all and God Bless AMERICA!
