ARDELL's Seattle Real Estate Blog

Sep. 26, 2006 - 10. Sometimes you have to thank a few people

I think there's a man named Jon, who was sick today, staying up with us and giving a blow by blow.  I caught it over at Property Monger  Quite Amazing!  Now get some sleep.  You can give a report in the morning!

I also want to thank Dustin Luther of Rain City Guide for asking me to be one of the writers on his blog back in the second week of January.

In addition to thanking Noor E Gagan Singh of Microsoft for explaining to me what a Blog was in the first place, I would like to sincerely and profusely thank John Reilly of Internet Crusade for asking me to Blog in the first place.  I sometimes wonder why he emailed me on New Year's Day and why I started writing that day.  You would think we both would have better things to do on a holiday!

Blogging isn't for everyone.  And clearly trying to blog 101 entries on a 24 hour period, is not for everyone.  But blogging is a simple little thing that anyone can do to change their life.  Blog for Business or Blog for Pleasure.  Blog to make your feelings known and to meet new and interesting people.

This blog is free and really anyone can do it.  I know very little about technology.  As Maureen points out, I can't even figure out how to get my tags to show up on Technorati.  You don't even really have to be a writer.  You just have to be good at whatever it is you do, and talk about anything you have a passion for.

One last thing, I am very loyal to Real Town Blogs and Internet Crusade.  They have been my friends through thick and thin and stand by me whether I am a Realtor or not.  Sometimes I belong to the National Association of Realtors and sometimes I don't.  And they don't treat me any differently or act as if my ethics changes when I decide their goals just aren't in line with mine from time to time.  There are lots of different blog platforms, but John "discovered" me and here I will stay.

We are in an industry where the loyalty of our clients is much appreciated.  Loyalty is a dying art, and we should all take a minute to remind ourselves who has given us a helping hand along the way, and be loyal to their efforts on our behalf and say thanks.

Property Monger...you are as nuts as we are...but thanks!

Thanks for the kind words, Ardell. I had no doubts that you would make the 101 postings within the deadline, and with minutes to spare!  John
