Help.... I've got a D, I, S and C in my car! |
Ok, so I have a buyer, finally, we've met and I am thinking WOW we just aren't communicating here. They have brought in their notebook, have 2 pages of questions lined up for me, pros and cons chart and are asking me questions like, we need to see the original plans of each house we select to offer on, zoning oh don't forget I want to know all of the ultility cost for each of those as well. Now I love having a buyer but, I am thinking , oh, my gosh, this guy is a pain...After all I hate all those little questions that require an answer. I mean, just give me the bottom line here, I,ve got those answers..What do you mean I have to analyze all that data? Yikes, who is this buyer? Sound familar, are you feeling the pain yet?
Have you ever met that customer/client who, you know matter what you do you just aren't connecting. Or maybe you worked for weeks, worked your butt off, took them to dinner, met their dog and, still didn't close them to only find out that an agent down the street (who by the way you can't figure out) did? Oh and lets not forget , these nice people actually called you back to "thank you" for your time or maybe sent you a nice plant and then go on to tell you about their new home?
How about that team member you just can't seem to understand, I mean I am too busy to hear about what happened today, just get to the point..gosh, what is your problem...I am a very important person here..Or what about that voice message you just want to delete......
Anyone else understand the why's of this? Knowing the D I S C behavorial style of your your clients, buyers and sellers can get you to closing. So my question today is how many of you know your style and are using the DISC to get to closing?
All you D's out there surely have a quick comment for me, just get to the point. How about all you who are I's, that is if you can stop talking about, you know who, or all my "s's" out there ....don't worry someone will make a decision before you know it, and Mr. D really didn't mean to be so short with you the other day. He just doesn't care!!!!

I was at national convention a couple of years ago and the key note speaker spoke on the DISC system. I found it to be by far the most interesting and educational topics of the the entire week. I utilize this system both in my professional and private life. It helps you understand how to speak the same language with the person or client you are communicating with. It even works with your children. Do yourself a favor and learn this system. It is very simple to learn and is a very common seance thing.
