Racing to Save LivesWe mostly use this blog to try to inform and educate real estate owners and consumers. But sometimes we use this blog to try to help others. The daughter of a friend and client of ours is going to run a marathon to help with research into blood cancers. Maggie McDonell is a college senior and is a member of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Team in Training. Here's a quote from the web page: All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure! Luckily we aren't personally involved with someone who has a blood cancer, but we are involved with close family members who have other forms of cancer. We know that research is the key to eradicating these diseases so no one has to suffer from them. If you can help, please go to Maggie's home page at Team in Training - McDonell and contribute. Thanks for your help. 8:54 AM - May. 5, 2007 - comments {0} - post comment |
