Joann Fossland wrote an article called "Consumers are Online and You Need to be There". That's why I'm here. I thought that RealTown might want to know that in the article, Ms. Fossland suggests Realtown.com. The article was printed in my local association's monthly newsletter; The Greater Tampa Realtor® News (November 2007).

I've been thinking about blogging for quite some time now. I think I actually have a personal blog out there somewhere in the blogosphere from a few years back. Please don't try to find it, who knows what I said back then!

This is what scares me most about blogging. You have to be pretty careful about what you say! I don't want to blog something stupid or invalid. On the other hand, I don't want to blog just for the sake of blogging. I would like to provide some sort of meaningful content for folks thinking about moving to my slice of paradise, St Petersburg Florida. And for current residents, I would like to provide real estate news from around the bay on topics that affect our home owning situation, like taxes and insurance.

So far, I'm impressed by RealTown.com. Deciding to blog was a bit overwhelming for me. Oh, the details involved, and the time getting started… But here at RealTown.com, the set up was simple. I really liked that you provide a set of examples for interests and that I could link in to my other web profiles.

So a big THANK YOU to Joann Fossland and RealTown.com for helping me get over my blogging blahs! Sometimes you need that little push to get your creative juices going…

Thanks for the comment and the idea about Facebook. I'm curious, does Facebook allow you to have more than one profile? I have a Facebook account now, but it's just for fun and games for me and my out of state family and friends. This is another rub that I have with creating blogs and an internet presence in general. I can be pretty silly in my personal life, but as silly as I might be in my Real Life is as serious as I am in my Real Estate Life!

Any thoughts?

Speaking of silly, is there really a place called "Snowflake" in AZ? I saw your website, it made me smile :)
