Hi. I am not too good at pick up a computer for either personal and business usage, anyone who has good luck with Dell computer? can anyone share with me about what to pick in a computer, like memories and all the needing stuff for the computer?
Thanks

There are a lot of good choices. I happen to be a ThinkPad bigot, but Acer is becoming a player with a strong base and good support. BUT, check it out for yourself at http://pcmag.com/
Also, take a look at a posting on this subject in my blog:

Rebekah Blevins asks about what to look for in a computer.
I will pass along the advice I was given. Get the most memory you can afford on just about any of the current processors. If you are going to get a laptop rather than a desktop so you can use it for presentations get one with good video. Nothing worse than trying to make a good impression on someone so they will hire you on a computer that is slow to process or doesn't show pictures well.
Many use tablet PCs but I haven't found a need for one yet so can't offer advice on them.
As far as brand I have had Dell's in the past, I have had custom built in the past, and I currently have a Toshiba and love it. No matter what you buy go out and look at all the options there are before you make a leap. We all spend a lot of money in this business and we need to spend it wisely.

Marcus,
Brand recommendations are great, but think about how you are going to use it, and find one that has features that you really need.
The biggest feature issues are: Where is the PC card slot, is it going to be convenient for when you are using your tablet; What is the screen like, can you read it outside, or can you clients read it over your shoulder; How long is the battery life; What software does it come with? You absolutely need the full office suite product, and also download the free tablet pc toys in Microsoft's website; Google "Microsoft tablet" and you'll find the one I'm talking about.
