Hi all,
Does anyone have any suggestions for being able to use the Gateway tablet with Winforms so that clients and I can sign docs on the tablet?

Sure. Type up the winform offer. Choose FILE|PRINT then scroll to JOURNAL NOTE WRITER, highlight, click PRINT. JNW opens, it prompts you to save the document then you can highlight, or sign or both. Choose FILE|PRINT then scroll to ADOBE PDF (or other similar program), highlight, click PRINT. Email signed document to appropriate parties.
Works with anything on your computer.

I don't use Winforms but I assume they are on your tablet. Once they are completed and ready to sign, click print and send them to the windows journal. This will put in the journal where your client can sign. Once they are signed it is useful to print or turn them back into a PDF. To do this download www.cutepdf.com (free) and use it as a printer to turn them back into a PDF. You can then e mail or fax right from the tablet with an
aircard.

Thank you everyone for responding with the solution for signing Winforms. It works! And for those of you who wanted to know what I thought about it - I am delighted. I have already signed a listing with it. I love it. I am getting more and more paperless by the minute. The machine is only about 6.5 pounds - much lighter than the old workhorses we used to carry around although not as light as my little Dell Inspiron 700M. But I have a 100Gig Drive with 1 Gig memory and it purrs like a kitten but you can't hear it!!
It's currently available at Best Buy for about $1300.00. You will have to get a slipcase for it which is extra.

| OK, I do print to Journal to write on the forms. But then, I do not know how to change the form back to PDF format. Do I have to buy this service from Adobe Acrobat? I have printed the forms to the Microsoft Image Viewer, but not all can download and view this type of file. |
