Investor Marketing Tip - NEVER do any of these things

There are many different things that you can do to grow your business with investors. Similarly, there are a handful of things that you can do to blow away your chances. That's why you should NEVER do the following:

  1. Be negative
  2. Be late
  3. Give up

Investors are positive people, and if you want to get anywhere with them, you must have a positive "can-do" attitude. Investors prefer individuals who say "how can I help" instead of "what must I do?"

In addition, investors are professional individuals, and are typically very punctual. They know how valuable your time is, and will not appreciate it if you waste their time. If you are running even 5 minutes late, it is a good idea to call them and let them know.

Lastly, not trying your best is the equivalent of giving up. Investors choose agents who are willing to try hard and make sacrifices for them, and if you can't show that you are trying to achieve the best for your clients, you might as well just give up on them.
