Steamboat Springs Reports Record Sales for July 2006
Turn on any T.V., open any newspaper or business magazine and you are sure to find a story about the national real estate market gone bust. That's just not the case here in Steamboat Springs, Colorado! Bruce Carta of Land Title in Steamboat reports that July dollar volume surpassed $100 million to establish a new record for the month. The dollar volume represents a 103.36 percent increase over last July’s $99,463,400 in sales. Year to date sales are now $526.9 million, compared to total sales of $885.9 million in 2005. According to Carta, the busiest price range was properties between $300,000 and $500,000, which accounted for 47 sales totaling $18.7 million. Carta’s source is the Routt County Clerk’s office. If you are thinking of investing in Steamboat Springs, the timing couldn't be better.
