• Median asking price - $625,000
• 16 condos sold in October of 2008
• The price range was from $205,000 to $2,600,000
• The median asking price was $700,000

Longboat Key Homes

• 175 single family homes currently for sale
• Least expensive - $160,000 (mobile home)
• Most expensive - $12,000,000
• Median asking price - $1,299,000
• 5 single family homes sold in October 2008 (Brutal)
• Least expensive sale  - $315,000
• Most expensive sale - $3,300,000
• Median sales price - $842,000

October was a slow month Longboat Key real estate. It is a bit discouraging for Realtors, buyers and seller on Longboat Key to see that 5 homes sold on the island with 175 homes currently for sale. Also, 16 condominiums sold on Longboat Key in October with 424 currently for sale. Now, keep in mind that October is traditionally a slow month for the Sarasota, Florida area. Especially with the uncertainty of the presidential election and the turmoil in our financial and real estate markets.
