Apr. 21, 2009 - Manhattan loft inventory as of April 19 = 990

Number of Manhattan residential lofts offered for sale as of Sunday night continues to reflect a bulging inventory, though essentially flat this week: 
 

This is up 1 in a week, while up 310 since my recorded low in mid-August.

VLAD  --  Good question, but primitive data sets that I keep, I don't aggregate the loft inventory by price category. Unfortunately, that is pretty far down on my ideal to-do list for Interesting Things to Do That Would Improve My Blog.

Sales distribution seems clearly to have shifted more heavily to the lower price ranges over the last 6 months or so; it seems logical to me that listing inventory has trended in the same direction, though perhaps not to the same degree (at least among 'realistic' sellers).
