Manhattan Loft Guy

Apr. 7, 2008 - more bad 2d floor news / 135 Watts back + lower / is it the tea?

I have removed the content of this blog post, as it comments about the current listing of another agent. For information about why, check out end of an era for Manhattan Loft Guy / a new day dawns? from April 9.

Apr. 7, 2008 - RE: more bad 2d floor news / 135 Watts back + lower / is it the tea?

As this building is on the National Register of Historic Places the potential/actual costs of maintaining the facade can be/is huge.  It is not unusal for a small (6 units) building like this to be hit with a $500k bill to fix/maintain the historic features.  I would not be surprised if that is the reason for the quick contract exit.  So, LG, when you say that "seems to be a relative bargain", there is more to the price than meets the eye.
