Heres somrthing to think about-if you have the answer could you please pass it along
Gas $3.39 per Gallon my tank is 21 gallons = 71.19 each week if not twice = $142.38.00
Home Heating Oil $3.49 per gallon my tank is 330 galons = $1,151.70 per month!
Electric bill $396,00.00 anyone living here knows the price has jumped 3 times now
Water bill $212.00 quarterly
Cable, phone & modem $179,00.00 every month
Food with 3 children average $900.00 every month
these are just the basics to survive not to mention the expences we run into with kids in school so I'll throuw in about $300.00 each month for that.
Taking the family on a few trips nothing big total for the yuear would be $7,000.00
So I guess my question would be.
On an income of $84,000.00 net (both adults working) can afford to put down 5-10 or 20 percent on a home roughly $350,000.00 at 5% thats $17,500.00 and a mortgage of nearly $3,000.00 because that is the average cost for the size home we would need 3-4 beds - at this point I can care less about the amount of bathrooms-they'll work it out.
Our total annuals out side of a potential mortgage are $44,288.10
With a mortgage of say $3,000.00 per month = $36,000.00
The totals would be $80,288.10 - not much room left for taxes, ins and forget eating out- so what does one do?
