• Apr. 28, 2008 - Swimming Pool Uncovered

We removed the cover off the swimming pool this past weekend.  Warm, sunny weather allowed us to remove the standing water from the top which permitted a speedier removal of the cover.  The cover was in such bad shape that I took it to the transfer station today.

The pump and filtration system came online Sunday.  Water has been circulating which is a sure sign that summer is just around the corner here in the Adirondacks.  I had planned to vacuum the pool today, but the rain that was predicted for last Friday and Saturday came today and will be here until tomorrow.  So, after the rain, I'll vacuum the pool, throw in the correct amount of chemicals in for pH purposes, and wait for the sun to warm up the water.

We can hardly wait.  Can you?
