 There will be a volunteer meeting, Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at 7pm at the Tupper Lake VFW on Park St to help plan work on reopening the ski lift at the former Big Tupper Ski area.

 Port Henry will have a public informational meeting on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 7pm in the Port Henry Knights of Columbus building located at 4253 Main St, Port Henry, NY.  This meeting is to get public input for the dissolution study.

 Town clerks across the region are pointing out that folks 65 and older can purchase a lifetime fishing/hunting license for $50 which is great compared to an annual license price of $47.  The deadline is Sept. 30, 2009.  Why not pay $50 this year for the lifetime license and enjoy paying yourself $47/year in savings?
